Flashback Continued

"Mian," Meizuo says softly putting both of her hands into his, "I don't know if that is a question I should answer, or at least not something I can tell you," Meizuo says slowly as if he was trying to be careful to not offend her.

"But, why not?", Mian asks innocently although she knew the answer.

"Mian, you're smart. I am sure you already know the reason why," Meizuo says clearing his voice.

"What if I don't know, could you tell me?" Mian questions turning around to straddle him.

Right when Mian did that Meizuo picked her up and sat her on the bed. Mian was a little irritated by that, but once she looked up, she was terrified when she saw the look on Meizuo's. He looked beyond pissed... well, he didn't look pissed he looked more disgusted than he was angry. Actually, he looked like he was both disgusted and angry. This was the face somebody made when they got flashed by some creep on the street. Mian has never seen anybody make that face, at least not in person.

"Mian, listen to me. I will tell you this one time and one time only," Meizuo said in the same voice Mian's dad made when she broke his extremely expensive and irreplaceable vase, "I will not ever in my life think of you in any other way than my little sister, and I don't want you to ever think of me in any other way than your older brother. You are a 13-year-old girl and I am 17, if anything happened between us I would get in trouble, not you. So, the next time that you ever think about doing something like that at least think about the consequences that I will have," Meizuo looked like he was going to explode.

He was angry with Mian, Meizuo never gets angry. Mian was now starting to regret what she was thinking about doing with Meizuo. She didn't he would catch on so easily. Of course, Meizuo is a smart man, and Mian knew that, she was just hoping that he would just go along with it.

Present Day

"I know I said I wasn't going to interrupt anymore, but you were thinking about giving up your body to Meizuo while you were 13?" Shancai shouts in shock.

Luckily, there were only about 5 people there, but that only made it easier for everybody to hear their conversation. Mian slightly bowed her head, while Shancai cowered in her seat out of embarrassment. If anything Mian should be embarrassed if anything after Shancai just shouted out her and Meizuo's business and now that Mian thought about it, she didn't realize that she had only just met Shancai a few days ago. She didn't really think about the fact that this random girl she barely knew could go out telling all of her business.

"Shancai do you think that maybe, we should continue this conversation another day," Mian says wearily, "It's not that I don't want to tell you about it,". That was a lie, "I just think that maybe we should talk about it in a more private setting,". Mian says making things up as she talks.

"You're right, sorry,". Shancai says a bit shamefully, "Maybe we can talk about it tomorrow when I make Li Zhen's birthday cake." Shancai says cheerfully.

"Now that we are on the topic of Li Zhen's birthday. I actually need to head home and finish the dress I was making her," Mian tells her, even though she finished the dress already. She really just need an excuse to get out of this situation.

"Oh,". Shancai says a little disappointed, "Well, in the morning do you think we could meet up to give Li Zhen her gifts," Shancai asks with a huge smile on her face.

"Yeah, about that, do you think you can give Li Zhen the dress for me. I would have to travel across the campus and it might make me late to class," Mian responds still a bit hesitant to open up to Shancai.

"Sure just tell me when I can come to pick it up,". Shancai tells her still smiling.

Mian nodded her head. She was happy that she and Shancai dropped the conversation about her past. A cafe on the college campus was most definitely not the place that she wanted to talk about it and Shancai wasn't the person she wanted to talk to.

A/N: Sorry for such a late update. I was having a very huge writer's block and loss of motivation. I was finally able to pull myself together and write. I did miss this book with all of my heart and although I do not have a big audience yet I don't want to let anybody down. Hopefully, everyone who read enjoyed the chapter for today, and if anything needs to be fixed don't be afraid to tell me even if it is the smallest thing. I also did notice that today's chapter was shorter than usual, but I wanted to get this chapter out as soon as possible because it has been a month since the last update.
