Chapter 13: Home

JULIES POV
As me and Luke arrive at home. I can see that he is nervous and so am i because we are freaking 4 hours late and my dad is going to kill us. I look at Luke with a soft smile to try and reassure him and he gives me a hesitate smile. I open the door and walk inside. We try to be super quiet in case my dad is asleep. As soon as i walk into the hallway the lights turn on and i stop in my tracks because i know its my dad. I can tell that Luke tenses.
Ray "Where were you?"
Julie "Im so sorry dad!! I totally lost track of time!"
Ray "I can see that!"
Me and Luke glance at each other.
Julie "Again dad I'm so sorry! I know i probably lost all your trust. And i know this probably doesn't justify anything but we were watching The High School Musical movies and their is three and thats why we totally forgot to check the time and I'm really sorry!"
Luke "I no its no excuse Mr. Molina and I'm so sorry we were late and now you are probably not going to let me and Julie date. And i would totally understand if that was your decision."
I look at Luke heart crushed but i totally agree with him :((
I see my dad look at me and Luke still have not said a word. But then his face softens and i can see Luke notice too because he loosens up a bit
Ray (takes deep breaths) " Luke what did I say about calling me Mr Molina please call me Ray! And Luke I know your a good man and would never do anything to hurt my baby girl. Now about being 4 hours late. How about this ill let it slide if you guys do at least a days work of chores (2 hours each)!"
Me and Luke look at each other "Yes!!! Deal!!!"
Julie "Thank you so much Dad!!"
Luke "Yes!! Thank you Ray!"
Ray "Okay good! Well ill leave you guys to say goodnight!"
Julie "Okay Dad! Goodnight!"
Luke "Goodnight! And thank you again!"
Ray shakes his head and heads to his room.
Julie "Well that turned out way better than i thought!"
Luke nods his head "Yea it did! I really thought he would forbid you and me to date or kick me and the boys out of your house! Your dad might look intimidating but when you get to know him he is a really sweet guy!"
Julie "Yeah he is! Ever since my mom died he was always their for us! He never shut down or became distant he was always their for us when we needed him. He always felt like he needed to protect us so the same thing that happened to my mom wouldn't happen to us!"
Luke "Yeah i totally understand him! He needed to protect his children who mean the world to him so nothing bad could ever touch them because he didn't want the same thing that happened to the love of his life to happen to his children who are the light of his life."
Julie smiles "Yes exactly!!"
Luke and Julie look at each other for awhile.
I wait for awhile because i feel like Luke has the urge to tell me something or ask me something but five minutes past and he doesn't ask me anything. I frown but quickly turn the frown into a smile so Luke couldn't noticed my disappointment.
Julie "Well i had a lot of fun today! ThanKs Luke! Hope we can do it again someday!"
Without giving it a second thought I kiss Luke on the cheek and than run off to my bedroom without giving him a chance to respond.
LUKES POV
As i was about to say something Julie runs off to her room without giving me a chance to respond. I walk out the door and head to the garage. I start to think about the silent five minutes that occurred between us. I could tell that she wanted me to "ask" her a certain question and i really wanted to but i just couldn't i don't know why but i couldn't. I arrive at the garage and the boys are waiting for me. I look at them and they look at me with the expression 'well are you gonna tell us'
Reggie "Well are you gonna tell us everything that happened?"
Alex "Yeah bro tell us everything!"
I look at Reggie and Alex "Fine!! So i took Julie to our date and before she saw it i told her to blind fold her eyes and when she saw what i had planned she was about to cry but she didn't and she loved what i had planned. She chose what we watched and we watched all Three of the High School Musical movies. It was like 1 am when we finished and we were freaking out because her dad told us to be back home by 10 pm and we were 4 hours late so when we got to her house we were so nervous. But omg her dad was so calm about it he did not look mad he said that we just had to do a days worth of chores 2 hours each and then we were good so we agreed. And then her father left the room to give us privacy. And me and Julie chatted for awhile. But omg guys this is were i screwed up so their was this like 5 min silence between us where i could tell she wanted me to say something first. I could tell that she wanted me to ask her to be my girlfriend but guys i don't know why but i wanted too so bad. But i couldn't i don't know why i couldn't ask her a simple thing. If i love her so much i don't know why i could not ask her." I slouch myself on the couch. I just realize that i just exposed my self. I let myself feel vulnerable. I had never done that before. I was about to speak but Alex beat me to it.
Alex "Bro wow i can tell that in the beginning it was all going great and than it started going downhill! I am sorry bro but i thought Julie would be the one that could help you with your commitment issues."
I look at Alex with a shocked face "How do you know i have commitment issues?"
Alex "Bro you think i wouldn't have known I've seen your last relationships. Every time the relationship was getting serious you would end it."
Luke "But i was able to ask them to be my girlfriend i don't know why i couldn't ask Julie!"
Reggie "I do!"
Me and Alex look at Reggie shocked
Reggie "Luke with your past girlfriends you were able to ask them because you knew they were nothing serious. You knew it would end sooner or later. Or you would sabotage yourself so the girl would break up with you. But you were never in love with any of these girls. I don't think you even liked them. I think you just liked having a girlfriend thats why you always had one. And thats why you never brought them around home because they weren't serious. But with Julie it is way different you cant bring your self to ask her because you don't want it to end up like your last relationships. You actually want it to work. You and Julie are like two in a million. Your love is rare and it only ever happens ever so often. And if your not smart you will lose her so be smart and tell her what is going on and why you guys should take it slow or your gonna lose her."
Me and Alex look at each other speech less. I have only heard Reggie talk like this a couple times. Reggie is like a puppy sometimes he can just be all cuddly and sweet but when were having a deep conversation his serious side comes out and he always seems to surprise us.
Luke "Your so right dude! I should definitely let Julie know what is going on or I am going to lose her!"
Alex "Yes definitely let her know so you wont lose her!"
Luke "Thanks guys! For always being their when i need to talk! We should head to sleep because it is already 3 am!"
They all nod their head and they lay down to go to sleep. I lay down on the couch and just start to think. I cant get that line that Reggie said out of my head you guys are 'Two in a Million' that gave me an idea for a song i want to write for Julie! With that thought i drift off to sleep.

Hey guys sorry i didn't update on the weekend. I was somewhere were they had no service so i could not update. I made this chapter a lot longer so i hope you enjoy. I have some ideas for the story that are going to happen soon. Im not sure yet but maybe later on in the story i might add some mature scenes between Julie and Luke i don't know yet. If i do i will defiantly give a head up before the mature scene.
