This quirk allows him to see how people die as well, it's written right above their heads at all times to him.
He even knows when they die.

He'll constantly know how people die
The more he kills the less sanity he has left

And
If he abuses the power he can lose temporary control of himself for 3 minutes as the quirk takes control and kills whoever stands in its path

Little izuku stood absolutely shocked at what the doctor had been reading off the paper.
He had never expected his quirk to be so...

Inko broke down into tears as she heard the horrible news about her son, she loved him to death and now she was just scared...
She didn't want to accidentally die because of him.

"I don't know what to tell you 2" the doctor sighed.
He handed the papers to inko, "make sure he doesn't use his quirk at all or he'll have to be taken away.
It's more dangerous compared to other quirks, while all quirks now and days are dangerous this one is one of the most dangerous I've heard about in a while.

Be careful with him and don't let his emotions get the best of him.
He's young, don't let his future go down because of something he can't control" the doctor warned as he walked out.

It was a silent drive back home, Midoriya was just in absolute shock...

He was strong, he was Happy to be so powerful...

But he didn't have the heroic quirk that he wanted...

When he got home he locked himself in his room and watched the same clip over and over again.
It was a clip of all might Saving people from a burning building.

Inko unlocked the door with her quirk and walked in on her son crying.

He turned and faced her, pointing at the screen.

"M-mama...
Do y-you think..

I can s-still be a h-hero?"

Inko ran to her son and embraced him into a hug as she cried with him, "I'm sorry izuku"

When time came to tell his best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, about his quirk Midoriya was in knots.

Come on!!" Bakugo asked.

Midoriya hated how he was able to see how his best friend died, but at least he knew it wasn't anything gruesome.
A death of old age is the most fulfilling to him.

Bakugo stared in confusion, "what does it even do???
And why would I hate you over something so stupid" he asked in dismay.

Midoriya let out a shaky breath, "i-it...

"The doctor said I can take the energy of a person's life and make it an offensive attack..." Midoriya replied.

Bakugo's eyes widened, "WOAH!
THAT'S STRONG!
WITH THAT POWER NO ONE COULD BEAT YOU"  Bakugo released a couple explosions in excitement.

"Y-you don't hate me...?"

"Why would I hate you?
All quirks could kill if the user tried hard enough" Bakugo asked distraught.

How do I die?!"

"O-old age..."

"HAH!
NO VILLAIN IS EVER GONNA KILL ME!
ILL BE THE NUMBER 1 HERO!" Bakugo ran around in excitement.

Midoriya was relieved that he didn't lose his friend over a quirk.

"Okay but if you wanted to kill someone how would you do it?" Bakugo asked.

"I don't know...

As time progressed their friendship never broke.

Middle school came by fast and as Midoriya grew older his appearance changed, he never dared to use his quirk, but even while inactive it took its toll on him.

Midoriya found out that the killing situation of his quirk wasnt only applicable on humans.
After an experiment with a flower, he found out he could kill plants and other animals as well.

He also noticed whenever his quirk activated he could see a little spark over everyone's head...
It was their lives.

He could steal it by choice, a simple will to want to would take their lives right out of them.

Whenever the quirk was active, instead of Midoriya's eyes being their usual green, they would be heterochromatic.
His left eye would be white while his left eye would be pitch black.

He also noticed that he could physically hold someone's life force in the palm of his hands and transform it into a physical attack.

That or he could absorb it to live longer.

He had only ever experimented with plants.

The word of his quirk spread around his school quite fast and kids were gossipers.

Villains knew of Midoriya's existence when he was officially 12.

One day, Midoriya and Bakugo were walking home.
They decided to take a shortcut through an alleyway when...

Bakugo was suddenly attacked.

A sludge monster latched onto Bakugo and was trying to make him the perfect mold.

"RUN DEKU! RUN!" Bakugo screamed forcefully.

Deku was a fun nickname Bakugo had given Midoriya instead of referring to him by his actual name.

Midoriya stood there in absolute fear, "but he'll kill you!
There's no one to help you!" He screamed.

"DON'T USE YOUR QUIRK.
I HAVE THIS HANDLED!" Bakugo tried to force himself out of the sludge's grips with his explosions.

He didn't want Midoriya to lose a piece of his sanity or get in trouble...

Midoriya felt his stomach bubble as his quirk activated on its own...

"I'm going to save-!"

"No need to fret because I AM HERE!"
