"Fine then, we'll switch plates" Midoriya sighed as he took Kota's plate and gave him his own.

"How do I know that you didn't switch these because you knew I wouldn't wanna eat so you poisoned your own and have the cure...?" Kota asked.

"I would not do that much work just to kill you when I could just activate my quirk.

However, at least your using your brain to some degree.
I know people that would blindly trust that because we switched plates that it's no longer poison.

Now eat up" Midoriya groaned.

Kota grabbed the sandwich and was about to eat when...
Midoriya suddenly slapped it out of his hand.

"Huh???"

"Don't eat it, something is off.
The way you were supposed to die just changed..."

"Huh!?"

"Sh, this poison was meant for me...

Kurogiri made these sandwiches though...
This is a trap-" Midoriya hissed.

Kota stared in surprise as Midoriya grabbed both sandwiches and looked through the layers.

"I nearly dodged being poisoned...
One more bite of my sandwich and I would've been killed.

Granted, I can't die...
Kurogiri knows that too...

So what was his goal..?" Midoriya muttered.

"...why did you save me...?
If you knew they were poisoned?" Kota asked.

"I'm not aiming to kill you, stupid.
But now I got a different problem..." Midoriya replied.

"What was kurogiri's goal?
He clearly wants something to do with you..."

Suddenly foot steps could be heard, Midoriya quickly jumped back into his bed with his plate of food.
He placed Kota's plate of food to the side and pretended be had been using his phone before eating.

Kurogiri came walking in, without knocking...
That was new.

"You didn't knock?" Midoriya asked.

Kurogiri glanced In slight surprise, neither of them had eaten like he had wanted them to.

"Apologies, I forgot.
Make sure to eat up and to drop the plates off in the kitchen when you're done" kurogiri said as he walked out.

Midoriya waited till he couldn't hear his steps.

"Yeah...
He was definitely planning something...
But what exactly...?"

"How are you going to figure it out?" Kota asked.

"I won't kill him yet, I wanna know why.
It takes me a couple minutes after dying to come back, what did he want within those couple minutes of being knocked out?

Strange, he definitely wanted something to do with you...

Kota was confused as to how this would work.

Midoriya grabbed both plates of food and walked over to his trashcan.
He threw out the sandwiches and stacked the plates.

"Gotta make it seem like I ate the sandwiches..."
Midoriya glanced back at Kota, the way he was due to die changed back to what it was originally.
