"Midoriya...?" The class said in dismay.

They were all shaken by Bakugo's death and weren't doing too well.
So they're were utterly confused when they found the person closest to him was smiling.

"A nice day isn't it?" He said as he walked in.
He took his seat, still smiling.

The class was shaken by just the pure glee on his face...
It looked...

Forced.

"Midoriya.

Hallway, now."
Aizawa instructed

"Aw man, why?" He asked as he reluctantly got up.

He walked out of the classroom with Aizawa, shutting the door.

"I understand a close friend of yours just died and that you're trying to make an effort to be happy but you need to understand grief is apart of reality" he sighed.

"Grief?
What grief?

I'm feeling amazing!" He cheered.

Even Aizawa was shaken by the insane look on Midoriya's face...
"I don't think it was a good idea to let him leave the mental hospital..."

"Midoriya...
I know that isn't true..."

"Why would I lie...?
I-im happy?"
He asked as a small tear slid down his face.

While Midoriya was finally feeling relieved of his stress he was still sad that he just lost his first friend ever...

It was a lot to handle.

His lips quivered as he continued to try and smile.

He couldn't keep it up.

Midoriya looked down at the ground as more and more tears started to drip down from his face onto the ground.

"He isn't coming back huh...

Aizawa sighed, "you aren't mentally ready to be back in school.
You sh-"

"I'm NOT going to the mental hospital!
I'm FINE" Midoriya shouted through his tears.

"You clearly aren't...

Fine...

I'll let you come to class only for today and based on how you act I'll determine if you can actually be in school.
Understood?"

Midoriya nodded his head as he wiped off his tears and plastered on a smile.
He walked back into the classroom and sat down again.

Aizawa shortly followed in behind.

"Okay class.

I understand you all are feeling somewhat sad about what happened yesterday night.

However, you need to understand that you can't let it hold you back.

The sports festival is a month and a half away. You all need to be prepared physically by then.
You'll be competing against each other and the school.

Not to mention it's a chance for pro heroes to see all your skills.
This festival can determine a lot about your future.

Understood?"

They all nodded their heads.

"Okay then...

Moving onto today's lesson."

Aizawa taught for the rest of the day, trying his best to ignore Midoriya's hums of tunes and wicked smile.

The class couldn't handle being in the same room as Midoriya, they felt as if their lives were on the line...
