. . .

We were like the dream team and we were killing it on the ice against Trinidad. The score was 6 to zero and we were doing awesome. Connie just scored which made it 7 to nothing. Unfortunately I was on the bench, but the good news was I got to cheer and sit with Julie and Luis. We all started cheering and then a kid in the stands started talking.

"Yeah, high five some more. Man my little brother could score on these guys."

"Then why don't you go bother him, then." Jesse spoke up.

"Haha! I ain't even got a little brother!"

"Hey Jesse! Quit gabbin' and get on the ice. Show me you want it son" Bombay said as he clapped.

"Yeah, show us you want it son. Let's go." The kid mocked as he did a face.

Coach then turned around and gave him the look which scared the kid off. I wanted to punch him in the face so hard, but Luis told me not to. I don't know how he knew I was thinking that but I'm glad he told me not to or something bad would have happened. It kinda sucked that I was on the bench most of the time but me and Julie got closer. I shouldn't complain cause I actually get to play. Julie never is on.

Jesse was getting closer to the goal then one of the other team's players slid and tripped him. Which made him slide into the goal. When Jesse got up he was pissed and try to start something with that player. He got put in the penalty box and the kid came at him to annoy him.

Then Dean and Reed were put in with Mendoza and me. They started to push and crush the other team, which mad it easier to score. Then they got their nickname "The Bash Brothers". Then Trinidad got a point, but then in the end Kenny got us a point. Which made it 9 to 2.

. . .

We had a press talk, but more like Bombay had one and we came with. While Mr. Tibbles introduced Bombay some of the players were given hats to wear. I got one but I passed it on to someone else. Then a giant polar bear in sunglasses and a Hendrix jersey came. We posed with him and then left right as the pictures were taken. Then Mr. Tibbles opened up us to any of the questions that the press had for us or Bombay.

"Team USA, how does it feel to competing on a international level here in Los Angels?"

We all cheered and commented on it in a agreement that we loved it.

"Coach Bombay, the Vikings from Iceland are the heavy favorite. Their coach already guaranteed victory. How are you gonna handle them?"

"Um, hard work. I think our team is ready to go up against the best in the world. We're not worried about 'em. Iceland may be though, but uh, were Team USA and were going all the way."

After he said that we all started to cheer and clap. We were ready to go then we hear something come from a group of people.

"Team USA is going down, that's where your going."

We all look to see it's the Iceland team, and saw Wolf Stansson. Which I guess that means that he's their coach. The press turned around and caught the whole incident.

"See you on the ice, Bombay."

We all began to leave and I watched as the Iceland team get kicked out. I walked out with Connie, Goldberg, Guy, and Luis since I stood next to them in the conference.

"Guys, did you see the size of their players?!"  Goldberg asked

"Yeah, but size doesn't matter. Plus we have more skill, and skill beats size." Connie said to insure him.

"And we also have Portman and Reed." Guy said confidently.

"Yeah, but they have a team full of Portman's and Reed's." Luis said that back with a little hint a fear.

"It's ok, maybe were just a little jittery because of jet lag. Were fine and were a good team too, so let's just forget about them." I said.
