It was a cozy afternoon, the streets were busy and the crowd was buzzing. The sun radiated the right amount of warmth while the clouds kept it balanced. A perfect atmosphere for my usual coffee.
I was watching this YouTube video that tiktok recommended me.
Astral Projection and an Out of this World Experience with Doc Lamar.
For some reason, I cannot forget about this dream I had a year ago. Every now and then it bugs me, and it's bizarre because it felt too real.. as if it really happened.
I snickered to myself thinking how foolish those thoughts was, I am not one to believe stuff about ghosts. Knowing I never encountered one except that dream.
Today, it is a vague memory to me. I don't even remember how he exactly looks like, fragments of that dream passes by my mind but that's it. I never dreamt about him again either.
It's funny because usually, we tend to forget about our dreams easily. The details.. the settings. That's why I am wary why I can remember little things about it. Sighing, I continued watching the video, my coffee half empty, and my mind definitely unfocused.
The cafe's door swung open causing the chimes to violently clang against each other. A group of guys wearing tracksuits, some even still has their helmets above their heads broke the silence I was enjoying just seconds ago.
I looked at my surroundings hoping the people feel the same way so I have a reason to kick them out. The disappointment obviously washed my face after seeing them drooling over these rude slabs of meat.
Pathetic.
"One chocolate drink for me, and a slice of sans rival. Thank you."
The guy wearing a yellow tracksuit spoke. I was surprised by his voice, it sounded raspy yet smooth at the same time. And for a buff guy like him, a chocolate drink is an interesting choice. He must've felt my eyes darting on him causing his head to turn around and his eyes finally landing on mine. I got flustered by the sudden contact but I felt something on the corner of my chest. Like magnets of the opposite pole, I felt an attraction.
I kid you not, he definitely felt the same. His wide doe brown eyes stayed staring at me, his mouth was slightly agape and his eyebrows darting high.
He looks familiar..
Where did I first saw him?
My eyes fell on the embroidered letters on his right chest.
J. K
My head felt a little light after reading that name. I'm pretty sure I encountered him before.
"JK..."
I mumbled in a low voice I thought only myself could hear. My heartbeat went on a rampage when this guy suddenly walked towards me. His companions, busy choosing whatever to order."Excuse me."
Ah.. there's the voice again. And this time it sounded even more sensual having him just a few inches away from me.Sweat trickled down the temple of my forehead, the caffeine started kicking in as well making me feel flustered and definitely red.
"Yes? How may I help you?"
The sigh I mentally released was so satisfying knowing I did NOT stuttered.Whether it was my delusion or it did happen, I swear to my blueberry cheesecake his pupils turned to a star shape.
His eyes widen.. his appearance uncannily similar to a puppy.
He then kneeled beside me, he's quite tall that's why looked like he was just crouching. I released a yelp after he suddenly grabbed my hand.
"Why are you to—!?"
"How did you know my name? I knew I saw you mumbled JK.. you did, right?" There weren't even spaces in between his words. Was he breathing?
"Can you cal—"
"You kept me up all night for so long! I can't believe I am seeing you in flesh!"
I slightly pushed his face that is ungodly close to mine but his hands remained enveloping mine. This guy is batshit crazy, oh my Lord.
"First of all.. your name is literally on your uniform." I saw his friends looking at our direction with worry etched on their faces, down to our hands and then to me..
"Huh?"
Jk mumbled, spaced out for some reason. He then realized I have no idea who he is. It is as if he touched a boiling water and jumped, the darkest shade of red creeping up from his neck to his face."I'm sorry.. what the heck just happened. I'm sorry please forgive my rudeness." He even rubbed his palms against each other. His knees still glued on the ground, and his eyes closed tightly.
"Uhm.." What do I say? You're cute though and didn't make me feel uncomfortable? Gah..
"Actually you're quite familiar too.."
He slowly looked up to me, with his eyes glossy and glittery. It could be the most beautiful pair I've ever seen. It felt like I saw them somewhere.Realizations clicked in and the memories rushed to every part of my brain, even my body reacted, and it felt like something electric jolted inside me.
"I saw you in my dream!"
"You're my dream girl!"
