"You do realize that your acting won't convince me, right?" This creature said. I still refused to look at him and continued typing on my laptop, hopelessly finding a safe cab to book.
"Ya!"
Rather than sounding scary, honestly he sound like a whining child. Still, I can't let looks fool me. What if he's a shapeshifting spirit and uses godly looks to lure innocent souls like me? No. Not giving him a chance.
"Helloooo!" He then sat at the table where I put my laptop, he even waved in front of my face. Chills crept up my skin as I felt his cold hand passed through my hand.
"Tsk." I heard him click his tongue, he suddenly disappeared. My eyes immediately wandered around. He's gone?
I was about to sigh in relief when his face suddenly appeared in front of me. "BOO!"
The shriek I let out was inhumane. I heard him puffed his cheeks. This half naked pretty boy or ghost or monster, whatever just made fun of me? This is beyond unacceptable already.
"Leave me alone!" I felt my body shake, my hands were starting to tremble. His eyes locked with mine, I instantly felt the chills. He tilted his head then sighed.
"Do you see me?"
"No!"
"Then do you hear me?"
"No!"
He bit the insides of his cheeks then leaned over me. "Now can you hear me?"
His voice is raspy and rough, add his frosty presence, I felt my guts tumble. My reflexions made me push him away from me but I just passed through him like air and ended up kissing with the ground.
"FUDGE." I massaged my nose that was impacted by the fall most.
"Shoot sorry." He tried helping me by picking me up, and as expected, he cannot hold me.
"Go away!"
The guy raised both his hands in surrender. "Since earlier, you're screaming. Chill, bro."
"I can't chill with a naked unknown entity in front of my face!"
"Hey I'm wearing bottoms!"
"Still. Can't you like dress up?"
"Nah, been like this for months." He sat at the swivel chair formerly occupied by me and swung it.
"How can you touch the chair?"
"Well according to my observations, I can touch any non-living thing."
"Then why not put a shirt?"
"Nobody sees me anyway." He continued spinning.
I touched my forehead and breathed several times with a sigh. He was just spinning on the swivel chair with hands on the seat to support himself. I can't help but check him out.
For someone tall, he's also buff. Not in a bulky way. His skin looks so creamy, is this the default skin of ghosts? He doesn't look scary at all. No scars, actually. No wounds, blood, or anything. If seen from afar, he's a normal human being, except the fact that he's too gorgeous for his own good.
He let out a laugh then talk while his lips were pouted. "You don't look scared anymore."
"Shut up, I feel extremely weird right now. Maybe I'm just dreaming. Yeah. If I sleep, you disappear, right? Correct."
"First of all, I'm definitely real. Second, you will help me. Lastly, come on, I haven't talk to people for like months already. I try communicating, but they don't seem to see me and end up getting scared." My heart swell, I saw his eyes fell dull. How sad must it have been for him.
"Why don't you go out and try finding somebody who can help you. An exorcist of some sort."
"You know I would love to. But I can't seem to leave this building. There's something making me bounce back."
I placed my chin on my palm and shut my eyed tightly. If I'm in a nightmare, I better wake up right now or else I'll totally lose my wits.
"What are you exactly?"
"I don't know. Maybe a hot ghost or something?" He stopped playing with the swivel chair and just rested his chin on the backrest.
"Seriously. How did you get in here?"
"I can't remember anything except the moment I woke up in this bed 8 months ago."
"And you were naked." I stressed out.
"Half naked." He said with a finger pointed upwards as if telling me to correct myself.
"Whatever, maybe you were a pervert and died because of it."
"Oh my goodness. That's possible." He said with eyes wide then patted his chin with his finger.
"What the hell, I really should leave as soon as possible." I didn't realized I said that out loud. He eyed me with a sharp gaze.
"No. You're not leaving me here alone."
My eyebrows shot up. Wow, what a cocky guy. "Excuse me?"
"Please." He made these cute expressions, and oh my geez. When I tell you no one can resist, believe me.
"I'm not comfortable with the idea of living with a ghost."
"But.. I'm not a ghost."
"Yes. You are."
"I feel like I'm still alive somewhere."
"How can you say so?"
"Because of this." he said then showed me his wrist. I stared in awe as I saw a glowing symbol on it. My hand tried to touch it but to no avail, of course it just passed through.
"What the... Are you an angel!?"
"Nah. I'm more on the devilishly handsome side, I guess."
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh." I started to panic. What exactly did I put myself into? This is not what I signed up for.
"Please help me, miss. I really want to escape this place." He said.
I can't help but stare at his pleading eyes. They were sparkling. I can't do this. I shouldn't.
He clasped both his hands together, and puckered his lips into a pout. Looking at him, you can't really reject. With a trembling pair of lips, I stood up.
"No." I said then sprinted towards the door as fast as I can, I reached the door handle and attempted to open it when a hand pulled my wrist causing me to fall in my back.
"Aw." I heard a soft thud as I landed on the matress. He towered above me, breathing heavily.
Both his hands were on the side of my head. Was that him? He touched me?
I know I can easily pass through him right now, but my body froze when our eyes connected. He leaned towards me more.
"You're my only escape, don't leave me." He said in a breathy whisper before breaking down. I felt a cold gush of air as he somehow laid his head on my shoulder.
