Chapter 32

POV: Nobody

Midoriya paced around under a tree that stood high and mighty in the center of the park. He had his face in his hand and was pacing back and forth, mumbling to himself every couple of seconds. Something about how that might work, and then disagreeing two seconds later.

"Hey Deku." A voice said, and he jumped as he turned to see a girl with brown hair and pink cheeks.

"Oh y/n, you startled me." He said and took some breaths to calm down. "I didn't know you were going to be coming looking like Uraraka." She just smiled, with a small look of confusion but said nothing, and stood there. Not that she had the chance to say anything in the first place. "Okay, so I'm just going to rattle off some stuff, and you tell me what you think will work and what won't."

She nodded and Midoriya took some deep breaths.

"Okay." He said and took one last breath. "Uraraka Ochako I am deeply in love with you!" He practically yelled.

"What?" She asked and jumped from his sudden aggression.

"Was that too aggressive?" He asked. "Should it be more 'Uraraka Ochako, I've had deep feelings for you since we started going to school together'? Or maybe just a simple 'Will you go out with me?' would probably be better."

Midoriya continued to mutter on mostly to himself, rattling off a few pick-up lines before moving on to other ways to give a love confession. Meanwhile, Uraraka was standing there with her face as red as an apple.

"Hey, guys!" Someone called out and the two looked off to the side, to see someone walking towards them. Midoriya took a moment to glance over at Uraraka, before looking back at the person coming towards them.

Finally, after a few seconds, what was happening sunk into Midoriya's brain because he started screaming like a little girl.

"What did I surprise the two of you?" Y/n asked as they walked up to the two lovebirds.

"How did-?" Midoriya started asking before looking over at Uraraka. "But I-. . . . you- . . . . but you-." He went back and forth looking between the two of them as he continued to panic.

Flashback: The day before

Y/n walked up to Uraraka's room and knocked on the door.

"Oh hey y/n." Uraraka said with a smile after she opened the door.

"Hey, Uraraka!" Y/n said with a smile. "I was wondering if I could take you out tomorrow after school."

"Take me out?" She asked with a bright bush across her cheeks.

"Yeah, just to show a little appreciation for accepting me." Y/n said with a little shrug. "I'm planning to thank everyone a little differently."

"Oh, there's no need to do that." Uraraka said and started waving her hands.

"Please it'll be my pleasure." Y/n said with a smile. "I'm going to take you and Midoriya out at the same time, I hope that's okay. And dress cute, more than normal. Okay?" They said with a wink.

"I-I . . . ." Uraraka started stuttering from being complimented.

"Great!" Y/n said. "Meet us at the center tree in the park tomorrow after school. Although I'll be a little late. Oh and just a heads up, Midoriya's going to have some type of analysis about my quirk so he'll probably ramble about that for a bit until I get there."

"I . . . um." Uraraka said trying to collect her thoughts still.

"Great! See you tomorrow." Y/n said as they rushed down the hall before she could properly respond.

"You switched with her!" Midoriya screamed out of fear.

"Uh-huh." Y/n hummed with a bright smile on their face. "I told you I would help you confess."

Midoriya continued to stutter along, while Uraraka stood there looking back and forth between the two.

"So Uraraka?" Y/n asked and Midoriya stopped choking on his words. "Do you have any thoughts?"

"I um . . . ." She stammered for a few seconds before looking at Midoriya. "I would like to go out with you Deku."

"Really?" He asked and both their faces lit up bright red.

"Yeah." She said and smiled. "I've actually liked you for a while now." She said with a little laugh. Midoriya suddenly seemed to have some confidence and held his hands out.

"I'm really glad you feel the same way." He told her as she took his hands and they held hands as they both laughed at the silly situation.

"Well then." Y/n said breaking the awkward third wheel silence. "I've got to get going, but I'm happy for you two." Y/n said as they dug into their pocket and handed Midoriya some money.

"Wait what is this for?" He asked and tried handing it back.

"That is for your reservation at the ramen shop down the street." Y/n said with a smile.

"Oh no, I can't take this." Midoriya said and tried giving it back.

"Nonsense." Y/n said and started walking away, leaving the two in the park. "Besides, you can owe me a little favor some other time. Oh, and one more thing!" Y/n paused a moment to look both Midoriya and Uraraka up and down. "Y'all look cute."
