"I'm starving!" I whined as I laid on the ground. We were taking our last break, as it had been recommended to take five-minute breaks in between our tests.
"It looks like all we have left to do today is the fight test." Shoji said as he looked over our test schedules. "After that we're done for the day, and we can head back to the dorms after recieving our final scores."
"I'm beginning to understand the saying 'Breakfast is the most important meal of the day'." I said with a whiny voice to indicate I was hangry.
"Come on the faster we finish our last test, the sooner you can eat. Or whatever it is you're going to do." Shoji said as I was suddenly lifted off the ground by the back of my jacket and carried away.
I looked up to see Shoji carrying me, and I took a second to admire his strength. He was holding my jacket like a towel, yet my hands and feet weren't even dragging on the ground.
"Do your extra arms make you stronger?" I asked him as I started staring at his biceps.
"I suppose they technically do." He said as he set me on my feet seeing I was paying attention now. "They each lift the same weight, and together they support each other so I can lift over a thousand pounds."
"Really?" I asked realizing that meant he could lift around two hundred pounds per arm.
"Would it be the same for you? Or would you only be able to handle a max set of pounds no matter your form?" He asked me right back and I actually had to think about it. For someone like me, having multiple arms isn't usually something I would think to use for strength.
"I actually don't know." I told him. "It's usually not the first thought when I've had multiple arms in the past."
"Oh." Shoji said realizing what I meant and chuckled a little as we stepped in line for our strength and endurance test.
I watched as another student stood in a boxing ring, he was on his last round against an AI learning robot. This test is meant to bring out the most in you. First round is supposed to be rather easy, most people use one big move to get it down in one try, but in the second round the robot comes back smarter and harder. Using actual programed moves and martial arts. And if the student uses bigger moves it comes back even harder in the last round, faster than fast to try and beat you before you can even activate your quirk. Its built to destroy you. Just like a villain.
"Great work Shoji" The instructor said, and I blinked a bunch as I realized I had completely dissociated during all three rounds of Mezo's fights.
Looking at the robot it was well beaten, but it looks like Shoji had a harder beating than the robot.
"Did you crush it to death?" I asked him as he walked up to me wiping his face with a towel. The body of the robot was contorted and looked like when you squeeze a soda can in one hand.
"Were you not watching?" He asked.
"No sorry." I told him as I massaged my forehead a bit. "I was busy thinking. But I should have been paying attention, I could have taken notes."
"No it's probably better you weren't paying attention." He told me as he leaned on the railing with me. "It'll force you to take it down your way, with your quirk, not mine."
"Yeah, cause my quirk is built for fighting." I commented as assistants started taking the robot out of the ring for my turn.
"I mean you managed to prove yourself to get transferred into the hero course." Shoji pointed out to me. "How did you do that anyway?"
"Mostly tentacles." I told him. "They probably saw it as similar to Tamaki Amajiki's quirk."
"But after learning you were a sex demon, they still let you into the school." He said a bit more under his breath so no one else would hear. "You're here for a reason. You don't have to prove it to anyone. You did this, all by yourself. Being transferred is harder than getting into the school at all."
"Why? Cause they set their standards?" I questioned as a new robot was being powered on for the next fight.
"Yeah." Shoji said and for a moment I forgot what we were talking about, that Shoji would agree with me.
"What?" I asked.
"They made their choices of acceptences before school started." He told me. "And then for you to be brought in at a later time? That's an honor all in it's own."
"How?" I asked.
"Because even after they chose who would be attending UA, and still decided they wanted you." He told me. I took a moment to think about it and realized he was right. I didn't apply until after the deadline, and they still let me in after the classes had already been in session for months.
"It was probably just to keep an eye on me." I said. "With an inappropriate quirk, they probably didn't want me on the streets causing problems."
"On the street where you wouldn't have been their problem?" He questioned. "They made you their resposibility, instead of turning you away." He pointed out. "I can only imagine the amount of people that become villains because they were told they weren't good enough to be a hero."
He was right. They didn't need to make me their problem. But they let me in here knowing that I could and would cause problems. But they still allowed me a place.
"Y/n l/n!" I heard my name and looked up to see the instructor standing next to a new unbeaten robot. "You're up!"
"Yeah I am."
