Dumbfounded I stumbled out of the room and found Jeramiah. He gave me a strange look and I beckoned for him to follow. Jeramiah did as I asked, and we walked into his room. I sat on his bed and sobbed; Jeramiah sat beside me and slowly stroked my hair. "Th-th-there w-was something in my room, and it-it gave me Romhilda's jewel," I could barely get the words out. "Oh Lillian," he sighed caringly, "I told you we shouldn't have tried to find it." "I know, but I've never bailed on a dare before and I was scared to start now," I admitted. He looked at me as if I just tried to drink my sandwich. "Yeesh and I thought you were smart for a moment there," He joked, not making me feel any better. "I didn't mean that Lil," he added when I scowled at him. I laughed and pushed him off the bed. "I found the jewel, we can go home now, can't we?" I asked nervously. I looked at Jeramiah, asking him with the look I gave him. He smiled and nodded.
I hugged him and walked out of his room, my feet carrying me the only place I wanted to be at that moment. I sighed and flopped onto the beautifully large bed, squirming under the covers until I finally fell asleep.
