The day was over before we knew it, so I walked over to Jeramiah's room to thank him for being there for me. I knocked on the door and a horrifyingly familiar voice rasped, "Enter." I shuddered; the demon was back. I held my breath and walked into the room, only to find Jeramiah sitting on his bed with a wicked smirk. I walked over to him and punched him in the face, causing a black shadow to leak out of him. I watched as the shadow swirled around the room; finally turning into a solid figure. It was big with long fangs hanging out of its mouth, I gasped and scanned the room for anything to defend myself with, I stepped back and swore colourfully, Jeramiah groaned and slowly sat up. "What was that for Lillian?" He shrieked. "You creeped me out, and by the way you were possessed," I snapped back.
I gave him an apologetic smile and found Jeramiah's cricket bat. I swung at the demon as it tried to get closer to me. Jeramiah shrunk back into the corner as the demon's attention turned to him, I took the opportunity to attack it from behind. I lined up the bat with what I assumed would be its head and CRACK the bat hit the demons head and the top half broke with a sharp and jagged edge. The demon fell to the floor. I cautiously crept up to the beast and saw it was still moving; without a second thought I stabbed the cricket bat straight into its chest.
