Chapter 5: The Lone Wolf

I squinted my eyes, waiting for the painless death. Instead, a voice called out, "Are... You human?" My first reply was this,"What fucking else?" I opened my eyes and the first thing I thought was: SHARP. The sword was made of diamond and probably enchanted with sharpness 3. (Wow, that's scary.) The sword was literally half a centimeter away from me, positioned right between my eyes. "Ermm, can you like... Keep your sword now?" I asked with a smile. "Oh shit, sorry" he said with an awkward tone. Then he introduced himself, his name was Darius, Darius Leow.

DARIUS POV:

After some introduction, I learnt something interesting like that even though he was not living on the mainland, there were infected creatures too. "Also, their weakness is fire." Luke added. Instantly, I took an anvil out, placed it on the ground and combined my sword with a fire aspect enchanted book. So I invited him to come to my house. Well, maybe not a house, a... castle? No, a fortress. Yeah, you get my point. But for some reason, on my way home, I was safe, with no ambush. Huh, that's a first... What if they are waiting near my house? Looking at Luke and his carefree eye, I pushed that thought away. (damn it, I let my guard down.) Right before I reached my home, a barrage of arrows were released. Dumbfounded, we took some shots. Luckily we were fast to act. We rolled out of the way and hid behind the tree. Then I shot an arrow into the bush while dodging another landing right beside Luke's feet. "Good, but not good enough." Several seconds

later, a flaming skeleton dropped down onto the ground, scaring the other monsters away. Then I saw Luke jump out of the bush the skeleton dropped from. I smiled in satisfaction. Wait a minute, Luke was... Beside me the whole time right?

5 MINUTES AGO
LUKE POV:

I was bored, letting Darius do all the job wasn't fun at all. He already killed several skeletons with his bow and me? Nothing. So I used my assassinations skills into use. I climbed the tree, leaped from one tree to another and landing right in the middle of the skeleton party. With two of my arm stretched, I dual wielded my sword and started spinning.Its okay even if it's a tiny cut. As long as they catch on fire. After some time, every single skeletons were burnt into ashes... Except for one, so I showed Darius that i was fighting too by cutting it and kicking it out of the bush. Looking at Darius's confused face, I giggled and leaped out off the bush. We started chatting but we let our guard down... An infected iron golem appeared and threw his fist right at Darius's direction......

Luke & Darius: Wtf? You shouldn't appear now!
???:Huh? Not yet meh?
Luke: *facepalm*
