Vivienne's POV
The airport is a burst. We have been asking around and we don't have any information. No one remembers seeing a feisty middle aged red head. It's like missing an elephant in the room! Even we showed a picture of her no one has seen her.

I sat on the pavement feeling absolutely hopeless. I listened to my thudding heart. I feel it in my gut that something is not right. Where could she have gone? She was supposed to come to the chateau!

"We should go back home." Fiona suggested. "Henrik must be worried sick about you."

"She's an irritating woman but she is not the kind to pick fights she can't win." I explained something about my mother to Fiona. "She told m never to pick fights I won't win. If she's missing then it means she picked a fight she lost. The only person I can think of now is Armor Deveraux. She has reason to hate me. She had Henrik's father blown up. I'm sure I'm not exempted from her murder list. If something happens to her, I'll never forgive myself."

Everything started with my defiance to her. She wanted me to stay away from Henrik but did I listen? Now I'm pregnant. Now I'm married to him. What now?

"I wouldn't think like that dear as much as it is not far fetched. But even if that is the case, what can we do about it? This is something we should tell Henrik. You are pregnant. You need to protect that baby. You can't pick fights with the duchess or take the bait she's offering. She obviously wants to lure you out."

"You're right. I have to protect the baby. I'm going to sit in the car. Can you please give me a moment?"

I just want to be alone so that I can submit to my hormones and carry out some ugly crying. This is not happily ever after. The books lied. I married a rich man, I live in a palace, I'm having his baby and somehow I'm sinking in a deep hole.

"Of course." She agreed.

I just need to calm myself down before my head explodes.

Fiona's POV
It's been hard since Pascal's death. He wasn't exactly a jovial man but he had this warmth that was easy to get attached to. Over the years from the very first time I met him, I have fallen in love. At first he was marrying the scandalous Russian girl. I respected their union and I stayed away. However, even when he was single, I couldn't make my move. He was the billionaire and I was just another face in the mansion. I valued his friendship. I took too long to tell him how I feel and now he is gone.

I still can't find the strength to leave the place I have been calling home. I want to stay for Pascal's son and his young wife.

This situation concerns me.

The plan to leave was the best way to keep Vivi and the baby safe. When he said he's staying I was troubled. While i understand he's concerned for his father's estate being left in the hands of a proxy who may be susceptible to Armor's schemes, I expected he would out his wife and baby first. At least he should send them away. But Henrik doesn't want to leave his father's legacy in danger. The problem with having an enemy like Armor Deveraux is that you'll never know which puppet she will use to get to you. Anyone can be her spy.

"Excuse me miss." A man startled me.

"Yes?"

I'm in a hurry to get back to Vivi. I bought her some food. She hasn't eaten all day. I stopped for the man.

"Are you the one asking about the red head? The woman?"

"Yes, do you have any information?"

"I drive a taxi. She boarded my taxi a day ago."

"Where did you take her?"

"If this is a crime you're investigating please don't drag me into it. I have a family and I can't lose my job."
