Chen's POV
My father hasn't said a word since we got back to the hotel room. His aura isn't peaceful. He just doesn't know how to start questioning me.

I have much to answer for. I stood up nai nai. I lied about where I was going. He found me at a club with a man. I should get out in front of what was going on at the club before I drop the big bombshell on him.

"It was supposed to be two friends hanging out. I don't know what happened."

He sighed softly. "Chen, two friends don't go into a private lounge. They don't have drinks together to present a situation where one is drunk with impaired judgement. What was going on there?"

"I told you daddy. He invited me out. Maybe it's my fault for assuming it was just as friends."

"Did something happen?"

"No!"

"Chen, if anything happened, I want to know."

"He tried to kiss me."

"That's it? Nothing else happened?"

"Nothing. I promise, I'm not lying to you!"

"Here's the hard truth. Men are pigs. That doesn't exclude me. I'm telling you this because I don't want you to get into a situation you can't get out of."

"I know." I cast my gaze at the he floor. He slipped his hand under my chin gently raising my head.

"Nai Nai very upset with you. You promised me you'll go to Beijing. When did you start lying to me?"

I lowered my head in shame. "I'm sorry. I didn't want to go to Beijing because she's hell bent on marrying me off."

"And we made a pact that if he's not good enough I'll drive him away. Why didn't you trust me to do that?"

"I don't mean you any disrespect but why did you refuse her help in finding a wife? What did you marry mom against her wishes?'

He held his hands at his waist. "Because I love your mother."

"Well I'm in love too." I broke it to him.

He furrowed his eyebrows together. We never had this issue like most dad's with boy-crazed teenage daughters. I focused on my education making it a priority through life. But now there's love and I want to explore where it leads.

"Do you know what that word means?"

"In this case, yes. I do know what it means and what it entails."

"Who is this man?"

"You don't know him. He's not from around here."

"Where is he from?" He questioned.

"I know you don't know him and it must scare you but we have been in a relationship for four years."

"Four year! Four years?" He raised his voice widening his eyes at me.

"Yes. We are very much in love. I came to Marseille to meet him. That is why I couldn't go to Beijing. Please understand."

"Does your mother know?"

"No one knows. You're the first person I'm telling." I pressed my palms together. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you."

He picked up his coat and he left.

He walks away when he's angry to avoid doing anything foolish. Either way I'm in trouble.

Zeke's POV
"Put her on the phone!"

"Alright alright. Don't blow your top." Kai Lin laughed from the other side. He doesn't realize how serious this situation is.

If I wouldn't have been at the club meeting business associates, she would have slept with her brother. I want nothing but to shout at Vivi! I told her to tell the boy the truth but she keeps putting it off! She's the biggest procrastinator I know!
