7: The Cheat

Eliza POV:

Angelica and Thomas broke up. So did Peggy and John! My two OTP's broke up! I can't believe this.

Alex and I were the only ones still together.

Angelica started flirting with Hercules Mulligan and Peggy started talking to Lafayette.

It must be hard for John. They literally just broke up. If Peggy dates Laf then she will still hang around the same friend group. Aka: always be around John. It's worse than that because John and Laf are best friends (aside from Alex). That's gotta hurt.

I'm still shocked how fast my sisters found someone new.

I mean, I know why Thomas and Angelica broke up but WHY JOHN AND PEGGY!? WHY WOULD JEGGY BREAK UP!?!?

I decided to text Peggy and ask... even though it's none of my business, she's my sister and I care about her... and I'm a sucker for Drama. That's why I love Theater to much!

Lizzy: Hey Peggy I have a question...

PegLeg: what's up?

Lizzy: why did you and John break up?

PegLeg: because he says he loves someone else

Lizzy: he said that? Who is she?

PegLeg: he wouldn't tell me who HE is

Lizzy: oh so he's bi?

PegLeg: yep. And HE broke up with ME. Not the other way around.

Lizzy: then how did you move onto Laf so fast!?

PegLeg: he comforted me. Now I gtg for a date byeee luv ya!

Lizzy: bye!

I put my phone away but instantly got bored. I put on some music and decided to call Alex.

"Hey baby!" I said once he picked up.

"Hey Betsey. What's up?" He asked.

I giggled a bit at my nickname. "I'm bored and I miss you." I said, trying to sound cute and sad.

I could tell he was smiling a little bit.

"Well John is with me in my dorm right now. He's taking the break up pretty hard. But you can still come over if you want." He suggested.

That explains the extra voice in the background.

I nodded a bit but remembered he can't see me so I laughed a bit. "Ok I'll be there soon."

"Alright see you soon." He says and hangs up the phone.

I knew John and Alex were good friends so I didn't question the fact that he was at Alex's dorm. But then I remembered what Peggy told me... well texted me.

John is bisexual and I know Alex is too. That's when I started to walk to Alex's dorm faster.

John and Alex have a really close friendship. Like... really close.

They could be dating if Alex wasn't dating me.

Alex loves me, right?

That's what I thought until I walked into Alex's dorm. There was silence. It seemed too quiet, y'know?

I walked around a bit, trying to find Alex.

It wasn't until I reached Alex's bedroom door when I heard muffled words or sounds.

I opened the door and gasped. Alex and John were both shirtless and kissing on Alex's bed.

"I should've known-" I choked out and ran out of Alex's dorm, hot tears streaming down my face.

I didn't dare look back at his dorm. I'm not falling for a cheater again. I couldn't go to my own dorm either.

I went to the only person I could trust at this point.

Peggy.

I went to her dorm and, of course, her and Laf were smashing faces on her couch.

"Ahem.." I said so they would know I was here.

Both their heads turned towards me and I gave them an awkward smile, tears still running down my face.

"Laf can you leave... this is an official Schuyler Sister Problem.." I said, trying not to cry.

The Frenchman nodded and left.

I went over to the couch and sat beside Peggy.

"What happened?" She asked gently, taking my hand in hers.

I took a breath to calm down and tried to talk.

"A-Alex and John... I c-caught them kissing..." I said, starting to break down.

She hugged me close.

"I'll kill them." She said quietly.

That made me smile a little bit.

"Thank you Peggy." I said and cries into her.

Even though she is the youngest, she was always there to make me feel better and make comments that make me smile.

Angelica was never like that. She never really cared. All she wanted was to be popular.

I guess ignoring your sister and kinda ruining their lives makes you popular. *eye roll*

It did hurt when she kissed Alex but I forgave them both and warned Alex that I would leave him of something else happened.

Now he's kissing my sisters ex-boyfriend. I can't believe him.

"I think I'm going to end things with Alex... for good this time." I said to Peggy sadly.

She nodded and handed me my phone.

I turned it in and went to Alex's contact.

Betsey: we're over. I'm sorry but I can't do this anymore.

TomCat: Eliza please come back! It was a mistake!

Betsey: the mistake was me trusting you. Goodbye Alexander.

Once I sent the text, I blocked his number and all his social medias.

Honestly, it felt good. I don't need jim anymore. That part of my life is over.
