John POV:

Senior year was... weird. I broke up with Peggy, dated her sisters ex, then broke up with him and dated his ex... my ex girlfriends sister. Luckily, Eliza and I haven't broken up yet. Alex is with Maria I think, but she's cheating on him with James Reynolds. Peggy and Lafayette are still together, and Angelica is going through an "all men are terrible" since Herc broke up with her.

It was kinda funny, actually. They were at a party and Herc got pretty drunk. Angelica decided to test him by asking if he was single. He said yes and she got really mad at him and ignored him for days, waiting for him to apologize. Joffe course, Herc didn't remember any of this, figured she found someone new and that's why she was growing so distant. He ended it a few weeks later. Sad, but still funny.

As of right now, I'm getting ready for my date with Eliza. Some of you might be thinking that I'm going to propose but I'm not. And I definitely did not mean to break the forth wall there.

Anyway, I gave my turtles a few pieces of lettuce then left my apartment to drive to the Schuyler Mansion.  Once I got there, I got out of my car and rang the bell. Eliza opened the door, wearing a white crop top and light blue leggings. I smiled when I saw her. "You look beautiful." I said and kissed her head. She smiled up at me since I was at least 5 inches taller.

We walked back to my car and I got into the drivers seat. She sat shotgun beside me and held my hand as I began driving to the secret destination I had planned.

Ever since we graduated, Eliza has been wanting to do a bunch of crazy stuff. We had gone to a bunch of theme parks, water parks, tours and exhibits. It was only boring about 36% of the time. I was so confused when she kept asking me to go with her to restaurants. She has a blog where she reviews them but most of them were vegetarian or vegan. I prayed that 'The Vegan Teacher' wasn't being an influence in her.

"So where are we going?" Eliza asked about 10 minutes into the drive. "Somewhere secret." I answered and chuckled a bit. "Maybe you'll tell me if I give you a kiss." She suggested and kissed my cheek once I stopped at a red light. "Maybe not." I laughed and drove further into the city.

Nearly 4 hours later, we finally made it to Long Island. "Where are we goingggg?" Eliza whined impatiently. I chuckled. We have been in the car for 4 hours and I hadn't told her why. I pulled up to a tattoo place (definitely not from Only Murders In The Building). "Jack..." Eliza breathed out and smiled as I parked.

"You said you wanted a tattoo, so what if we get matching ones?" I suggested and she squealed. I got out of the drivers seat and went to open the passenger seat door for her like the gentleman I am. She giggled and held my hand as we walked into the tattoo parlor together. "How can I help you?" A shady guy covered in tattoos asked us. "We are planning on getting matching tattoos. I made an appointment for 3pm and it's just now 2:57pm." I said and started to get intimidated half  way through.

The guy went over to his computer and typed a few things in. "John Laurens?" He asked, causing me to nod in response. "Alright. Take a seat you two and we'll get started. Do you know what you want?" Eliza and I took a seat as we were instructed. "We want a small heart with 'J+E' in it on our wrists." Eliza answered the man and held my hand. The guy put a stencil on our writs and started on Eliza's tattoo first. She squeezed my hand as soon as the needle touched her skin and didn't let up until it was finished.

Then it was my turn. I winced a bit when the needle first touched my skin but other than that, I was fine. Eliza kept hold of my hand to comfort me, which honestly helped a lot. She's literally the picture perfect girlfriend we all hope for but she's not fake. And she's so much more than just 'picture perfect'. This is going to be one hell of a summer.
