Chapter 24: meetings, surprises.

"welcome to the night crawlers pack" my dad welcomed the princesse with a smile. a faćade masking his worries about this visit.
the meeting room had a wooden floor and a nice long table with 12 classic chairs. the room was simple and efficient with a mix of wood around the room and baby blue paint on the wall
The princesse nod and then walk to sit on the empty place in front of the Alpha. "it's pleasant meeting you all.
now to businesse" no one says anything so she continues after I sit. "I'm sure the lilies already informed you about the rouges that we suspect on your land right"
"yes, we are trying to locate them" my dad answered.
"we think that those rouges are planning an attack on the castle" what? who un there right mind would even think of that and why.
"an attempt on the castle?" asked our beta
"yes. according what I was told, they are looking for someone that knows a way to help them with the attack"
"may I ask how did you gather this information?"
"the king told me that they sent him a threat" she said with disgust "foolish mutts"
the shock was on our faces like that scream painting. the king is not only the strongest wolf. he has the kings power. the kings power make sure every other werewolves and lycan. they are indeed foolish.
"a threat?" my dad asked. finally finding his voice.
"yes. and that why I am here. with your help we want to find them and deal with them"
"do you know who are they looking for?" asked mother talking for the first time.
"No" was her only answer.
after that we talked about our land where is where and who is who and about neighbor packs and so on.
finishing up the meeting I exited the room first with the princesse and I lead her to her room to rest.
Buzz
I look at my phone to see a text
Jack " I hear that you have a guest"
me "yes. the princesse is visiting"
jack "we will soon visit to greet her"
me: " yah I figured. you are welcome anytime;) "
Jack "does that mean we are getting a rain check on our date?"
me " I don't know"
Jack " I really hope we can go. how about you ask someone to cover for you?"
me "I'll see"
Jack "see you tonight sweetheart"
I blush at the 'sweetheart' and smile while walking back to my room.
Jack "how about we sneak out after I visit qoth my parents tonight?"
me "okay. only if you took the blame :)"
Jack " not fare!"
me " but you'll take it for the fair lady that it's me"
Jack " I know you are one of the ststrongest of your pack. you can handle it"
me " but my heart is fair and weak. you should take care of a woman heart. especially if it could possibly mean you getting anything tonight :) "
Jack "you are killing me!"
I laugh
Jack "fine. the blame is on me. you really should be happy I'm a gentleman"
me " to h*** with autocorrect!
it actually replaced horny teenager and put gentleman!*
Jack "HaHa.. funny (not)"
me ":)"
Jack "see yah soon".
after finishing my conversation with Jack I was asked by the princesse to show her around.
everything was going great and my date is in two hours. we just got back and I left to change. I dressed extra nice for I'm going to my first date with Jack and I'm going to meet his parents.
I go down as the bell rings. I go to the door to see a pack member opening it to show Rose Aurora and her family. the fiancé and the parents.
Rose was the daughter of Alpha of the pack next to Jack's. she is the sweetest girl and she is good friends with Vi. she is four years older than me and she found her mate last year. they are getting married in a month from now which for some reason make me ... jealous?
I shove the thought out of my head as I go to welcome them in. now that the princesse is here the Alpha families of the packs around us are going to come to welcome her. that is why also Jack and his family are coming.
we go to a guest room and the princesse soon enter. they exchange greetings and then the white wolf Clara.
we sit down and talk for a while when I notice Clara not speaking to anyone that when I go to her.
"so, do you like it here"
"so far so good"
I try to think of a topic to talk about "so how is life in the castle"
"full of fake people" oh wow "when we went out earlier I saw the people around her. they are much... simpler"
"will... change is always good" was the only thing coming out of my mouth not knowing what to say.
we bounced from topic to topic and I learned that Clara is one straight forward woman! I like her.
The door bell rings again and I see Clara shift in her place and stand up. and in walk my date and his family.
Jack face turn to my way the moment he is in the room. he stop in his place making his father stop suddenly and awkwardly. the room looking at him in confusion as we can see his wolf surface. his eyes are shades darker then there usual color.
"Jack. what are you doing stoping so suddenly!" his dad talked to him.
he opened his mouth but the words coming from them weren't for his father as he said
"MATE"
