After Midnight

Chapter XIII

I got closer to the huge cylinder shaped tube, and I took my hand to see what it felt like, but then Liam stopped me in fear that it might be a trap, and he took the first step, and as soon as he touched it, he was thrown back by a huge wave of electricity.

He got up with a shocked face, looked at me, and his face turned blue when he realized what was behind me: a member of the vampires. And he screamed at the top of his lungs "GET DOWN!!" while the two members took their swords trying to stab me in the back. And so I did, I got down and crawled to the back. I found another sword at the other side of the room, but how could I reach it?

Meanwhile Liam took one of the members by surprise, he had his hand wrapped around his neck, and his other hand holding the enemy's arm up, and pointing the sword on the glowing tube, and then he threw him on the glass creating a massive shock wave between the electricity and the sword, and shooting the enemy in the air. And while the other member's attention was taken by his flying partner, I ran towards him taking his sword from his hand, grabbing his arm from behind and putting the sword on his neck. Then I took the metal piece in my hand, dragged it from his neck, to his chest right on the heart, and putting more pressure, little by little, so he could really feel the pain. As I got deeper I could smell hear his blood and hear it dripping down on the floor. He started shrieking and his breathing got heavier when I pierced through the skin, and I ended it by whispering: "that's for touching my girlfriend", and I pushed the sword with so much anger and rage right through his heart.

At the same time, Liam rushed to the member as he fell from the air, he took his sword and pierced his lungs, and we both got to watch him grasp for every tiny breath he could have, and saw the blood vial break as he had his last breath.

But we couldn't stay down there now that there are to vampires dead, we had to run away, so we took off like rockets. As we were running I decided to touch the glass. Why? Well I don't even know. So I did it, and for my surprise, my hand got through the glass, as if it was air, so I stopped the run in shock. When I tried putting my hand in again, the electricity waves were starting to form. But how could I even get through the first time?

Liam and I thought about it for a while: I was running when I got through, just like thunder, and I broke the electricity waves. So we tried it again, and when I got through I stopped running keeping my hand in the tube, and I reached for the cane and held it, and thunders came out of it breaking the tube into nothingness. It was terrifying, but there was no time to be scared, we had to go.

We couldn't go home so we went to the base, and I hid the thunder cane in a safety room. As Liam and I were trying to figure out what the name of the cane was, we got a phone call, I picked up and put it on speaker:

-"Hello?

- Hi! It's me, Katheryn.

- Katheryn! Oh god where are you?!

- She's with us." Replied a member of the vampires...
