After almost 3 hours of kick ball, team two won the game. As the four cheered (and bragged to the others), Mildred started writing stuff down in a notebook while the two frogs walked in with a tall man. "Sir you have a guest" Mildred and Gilbert looked at each other confused.
"Kermit take the children to the study and Karman fix us some tea, would you?"
after kermit lead the children into the study they bothered him with questions about the stranger. "who was that man and why did mom and dad looked as they didn't like him" Jada asked. "Why is he here"
javion asked. "is he here to tell us who's the leader" chloe asked eagerly. kermit took a deep breath. "now children, we have to finish up our work so we have free time" the children looked frustrated with the fact that they weren't getting any answers about the mysterious man.
meanwhile with Mildred and Gilbert
the three sat at a table. the man on the opposite side of them. karmen walked in with the tea on a platter and placed it on the table as mildred coughed trying to make the silence not so awkward.
"so...would u like to explain why you interrupted our children's training?" gilbert asked with a sense of ignorance. the man sipped his tea before speaking. "i don't think having your kids play a game of kickball is training" the man joked. gilbert huffed loudly. mildred sipped her tea and put it down just before speaking, "gentlemen- please don't start anything extra especially with my children in the house...now hargreeves please explain why it is you are here"
"Just to let you know i have adopted 7 such children as my own. I'm sure enough yours have incredible powers as well" Gilbert and Mildred just nodded as he continued. "I'm making my children into heroes to save the world"
gilbert stand up from the table speaking. "what do you mean 'save the world'" gilbert asked out of curiosity. mildred watched the two men in front of her very closely.
"As you must know, the world we know as 'earth' and will soon be erupted by a mentor like when the dinosaur were" he took a taking another sip looking at the confused couple.
"you mean the end of the world- how do we know our children would be alive for that" stammered gilbert. "you know what- forget it, i'll help you, i'll train my children and you train yours but on certain days they train to together"
after reginald left the couple were still confused. "what do you think he means by the 'end of the world'" asked gilbert looking at mildred who was thinking about it herself. "i don't know" she breathed. "are we actually going to train our kids to save the world- what if it comes before their ready? what if they can't protect themselves or each other?" mildred ranted on. gilbert put his hand on her shoulders. "we'll just make sure their ready when time comes"
"children- children please settle down" said kermit as the 8 kids ran around the room, some fighting. karmen walked in with a tray with cupcakes on it. "kids! i have a treat for you" the children stopped what they were doing and turned they're attention to karmen. "now sit down and ill give u a cupcake" kermit rolled his eyes. "your parents will be in a short moment" karmen giggled.
the two parents walked into the room eyeing each other. "alright children, me and your father have come down to a leader" mildred spoke loudly so the kids could hear. "and we've decided...liyah, your the leader" mildred watched the kids cheer. she smiled to herself. she looked towards gilbert. he as always had a emotionless face.
