The Perfect Wife

Chapter 8: Preparations

I sighed knowing that in just a few days I'm gonna be tied up to a woman whom I'm not quite sure to spend the rest of my life with

I always wanted to be married to someone I loved and not be forced maybe at least then I would get to decide on my own and be my own person that had control over her own life. But sadly that wasn't my case, all my years of existence have already been planned by no other than my own father. Just like any other decision that he's made for me, my hands are tied and I can't do anything about this

Hopefully this marriage with Jennie will go smooth. I honestly don't know why I'm a bit suspicious of her but maybe it's because I'm convincing myself that I don't like her? Maybe it's my brain's way of coping up with all of this

"Miss y/n, we're here" Johnson, my driver told me as I just nodded at him and exited the vehicle

The past few days flew by like a breeze, most of my time was spent with the wedding preparations. I felt slightly guilty whenever Jennie would cling onto me flash me her gummy smile and ask me if I'm excited for our upcoming wedding; because I know in myself that I'm not as excited as she is, despite her being that typical wife material I just can't bring myself to say that I like her. She's nice and caring and of course beautiful but there's something in her that I just can't stop pinpoint what it is

I mean she's just too perfect? This woman is everything a wife would be, she's smart, pretty caring and rich. What else would a person want? But that's the case she's too perfect that I'm beginning to want to find imperfections in her

But maybe I'll just give her a chance, who knows that maybe this marriage will be the first good thing that my father did to me

*snap*
*snap*

"Y/n? We're you even listening to what I was saying? " I broke out of my thoughts when Jennie snapped her fingers in front of my face, there I saw her wearing her 'happy face'

"U-uh I'm sorry Jen, I just have a lot on my mind. What were you saying again? " I asked her so that she wouldn't think that I wasn't listening to her

Much to my relief a grin broke out on her face and proceeded to talk about her suggestions for our wedding
"So I was thinking about our theme being black, you know how common it is for weddings to have white or light colored themes right? So I think that we could change it up a bit, I love the color Black it just screams elegance and sophistication you know? " And I found myself agreeing to everything she was telling me, don't get me wrong her ideas were really impressive However I didn't like some of them ; besides, I didn't want to upset her by opposing her ideas

I got out of the car and opened the door for her " My oh my, my future wife is such a gentlewoman" She said as she smirked at me and wrapped her arms around my neck
I chuckled at her and my hands automatically laid on her waist " The wedding is in a week, but I don't know if I can wait that long.. " She paused and looked at my lips then averted her gaze back to me " If you know what I mean " I was about to answer when a soft pair of lips hushed me, I widened my eyes at her boldness, she was such an Innocent and sweet girl but I guess sweet girls have hidden fire power. Her tongue glided across my bottom lip and I granted her access, our tongues fought for dominance but I won, as I was about to pull away she put her hand on my nape pulling me closer thus preventing me from doing so. Our kiss was heated and I could tell that she wanted to do it right now. But of course I wasn't that disrespectful to do it with her when: one, we were in front of her house which means that her parents might see us. And two, I want to do it with someone that I really love. With Jennie, I'm still in the process of liking her and I wouldn't want to give her false hope

We pulled away from the kiss when oxygen became an issue, heavy breaths were all you could hear and soon the woman in my arms tiptoed and whispered in my ear " Can't wait to explore positions with you in bed" After she said those words I shiver ran down my spine, not content with her words her tongue made contact with my ear taking it only a few seconds for me to feel a hot sensation spread all throughout my whole ear she pulled away and gave me a peck on the cheek and just walked to her front gate but before she could enter she turned around and said "bye hon! " With a flying kiss

I just stood there frozen, not getting over with what just happened
