Niki's POV

I woke up with Y/N in my arms. I smiled. She's beautiful even when she's asleep. I moved to try to get her in a more comfortable position, but then her eyes fluttered open. She smiled and I swear my heart melted. 'Good morning,' she whispered. I caressed her cheek. 'Good morning, beautiful.' She blushed because of my words. She's always so shy, it's cute. She hid her face in embarrassment. I laughed. 'Why are you still shy? Aren't you used to me yet?' I gave her a morning kiss on her forehead, because well morning breath. She tried to get up, but I held her back. 'We should get back, Niki.' 'Just a few seconds.' She laid back down and I held onto her tightly. 'I love you, Y/N. To the end of the world.' She chuckled. 'Really, lyrics?' I pouted. 'Don't laugh. It's one of my favorite songs. It reminds me of you.' Her gaze softened. She cupped one of my cheeks with her petite hand. 'You're too sweet to me, Niki.' I frowned. 'There's no such thing as too sweet. I'm just treating you how you should be treated.' She sighed. 'Just don't love me too much, okay. I don't want you to get hurt.' 'Why would I get hurt?' 'You treat me as an equal, but the rest of the world doesn't especially your family. I love our moments together, Niki. However, it won't last you know that right?' I slowly take her hand of my cheek still not processing what she said. 'What do you mean it won't last?' I asked harshly. She took a deep breath, before answering. 'Your royalty and I'm of the lowest class. I'm your servant, Niki. I'm mundane not a vampire.' My heart began beating faster. I put my hand on my chest trying to calm down and not turn. 'We can always change that.' She sat up straight with a serious face. 'I don't want that. I hate being fed on.' I furrowed my brows. 'When were you fed on?' She looked away. 'I haven't. I just don't want to become like those brainless girls that walk around the palace.' She didn't sound too convincing. 'Perhaps you didn't hear me right. Who. Fed. On. You.' Her breath became unsteady, I could hear it loudly through me ears and her fast heartbeat betrayed her. Super hearing, one of the benefits of being a vampire. 'I know you're lying, Y/N.' She closed her eyes. A tear rolled down her cheek. She lifted her shirt and I finally knew why she didn't want me to take off her tops. Her belly was filled with scars. Bite marks. Although the neck is one of the best spots to feed, there are a few nice spots on the stomach. I was furious. Almost too furious to control myself. I had to take a couple of deep breaths. 'Tell me who it was,' I hissed. 'Your brother.' I clenched my teeth. 'Which. One.' She looked down on her feet and mumbled something, probably hoping I couldn't hear her. But, I heard all of it. Every single letter. 'Heeseung.'

Y/N's POV

'Niki, stop. Where are you going. Please, don't go. Control yourself.' I tried to stop him, but I was no match for a supernaturel being. I grabbed his hand and he looked at me. 'NIki, think for a second. You're going to make it worse. He'll know you care for me.' His eyes turned a dark red colour. 'Not if I kill him first.' I let him go out of shock and he stormed the cave out. When I got to my senses, I tried to go after him but he'd used his superspeed and I couldn't keep up with him. I ran with all my might to the palace, hoping he had come to his senses on his way there. Sadly, that wasn't the case. By the time I arrived at the royal chambers, all the brothers were gathered. There were two sides. Heeseung, Sunghoon, Jungwon against, Niki, Jay, Jake and Sunoo. I was surprised that even Sunoo bothered to show up at such a short notice. It had been just ten minutes and it was still morning. Niki's back was turned to me, so he couldn't see me neither did the brothers who supported him. Heeseung was the first one to notice me. 'Glad you were able to join us as well, human.' I balled my hands into a fist. 'It's Y/N.' My name made Niki turn to me. His red eyes softened for a moment. 'Y/N, please go away. I don't want you here.' 'Nonsense, little brother. I mean she's the cause of this little rebellion. She should be here.' I gave him a death glare. I didn't care about him being the crown prince anymore. Jake came up to me and stood in front of me to protect me from possible attacks. 'Thank you,' I whispered to him. 'It was about time Heeseung was put on his place. It was one thing he was compelling servants and raping them, but we made a pact to never feed on them. He broke it.' His voice was beautiful. I can't believe it took him so long to finally speak up. I grabbed onto his arm tightly and watched the fight between the other brothers. 'You broke the pact, brother. You're going to pay for it.' Heeseung manically laughed. 'And what makes you think you have power over me. You're merely the youngest and in love with a human for god's sake.' Did they know? 'I'm not in love with her. Stop spitting nonsense. I'm using her for pleasure, which isn't against the rules. Feeding on her is. You crossed the line, Heeseung.' Heeseung smirked. 'Whatever you say, Niki.' He then looked at me. 'I'm sorry for feeding on you, Y/N.' He said emphasizing my name. I was stunned by his sudden apology. I wasn't the only one. Niki was taken aback by his brother's actions. 'I can't undo my prior actions, but I hope you accept my sincere apology,' Heeseung continued. I blinked a few times and pinched myself. Is this a dream? Why is the malicious crown prince apologizing to me. What's his plan?
