Y/N's POV

It had been a quiet couple of days in the palace and I had just finished doing my tasks for the day. I handed my apron to Mrs Kim and excused myself to go to my room. I was just about to walk to the kitchen to see my brother, when Mrs Kim called after me. 'Y/N, could you come back for a moment.' Multiple scenario's flashed through my head, afraid that I had made a mistake and that I was going to be punished. 'Yes, Mrs Kim?' I asked with an nervous smile. 'Prince Sunghoon has requested your prescence.' I blinked a few times, trying to process what she had just said. 'Who did what?' 'Prince Sunghoon has requested your prescence, girl,' she said again with a annoyed voice. 'I'll go to him immediately then,' I said bowing and leaving quickly before she would punish me for simply not being able to listen properly. I rushed to Prince Sunghoon's chambers. I shuddered when I saw Niki's chambers. He hadn't approched me lately, but still the fact that everybody was warning me for him must mean he's bad trouble. It was odd though, because everytime I saw him, he seemed determined to avoid me. 

I breathed in and out a few times, preparing myself for visiting prince Sunghoon. What could he possibly want at this hour? I knocked onto his door. 'Your highness, you called for me?' I politely asked. Prince Sunghoon opened the door and my mouth fell wide open. 'Your Highness?' I said schocked. He was standing in the doorway with his white dress shirt unbottened. 'Yes, miss Y/N?' He answered, smirking. I bit my lip out of emberassment, when I realised I had been gawking my eyes out at him. 'My apologies, your Highness. I shouldn't have reacted that way.' He smiled. 'It's fine. I get it,' he winked at me. I furrowed my brows. I didn't remember much about the princes, but I had been told prince Sunghoon was as cold as ice. However, in this exact moment he seemed like the nicest, genuine person in the world. 'Why are you still standing there? Come in already,' the prince said. I shyly came in and closed the door behind me. 'I hope I'm not being too rude and nosy by asking, but why exactly did you call me your Highness?' He patted the end of his bed. 'Come sit here first, please.' I hestitantly moved closer to him. The prince got annoyed by slow pace, so he pulled me down onto the bed next to him. I almost lost my balance so I grabbed onto his shirt, exposing more of his naked upper body. I put both my hands in front of my mouth, feeling dismayed about what just occured. 'I'm so sorry.' He chuckled and straightened his shirt. 'You're really cute, did you know that miss?' My eyes widened. Did he just call me cute? The coldblooded vampire prince actually called me cute? A blush crept unto my face. 'As a matter of fact, I didn't.' He shot me a small smile. 'I called you to give you this.' He presented me two novels of my favorite author. I shrieked. 'Oh my god. Are you kidding me? A thousand times thank you!' I hugged him out of my excitement. He wrapped his arms around me. Suddenly I realised what I was doing and I quickly backed away and bowed to him. 'My apologies, your Highness. It's just that I really wanted to read those books.' He snickered. 'I know, your friend told me.' So, that how he knew. 'Why did you get this for me, my prince?' He shrugged his shoulders. 'I wanted to reward you for your hard work.' I smiled. 'Thank you so much, your Highness. I don't know how I could repay you?' 'I do.' 'How?' He tapped his right cheek with his index finger. 'Give me a kiss.' I put my hands behind my back and squeezed them. 'I don't think that's appropiate, my prince.' 'Come on.' He pouted his lips. I couldn't say no to a prince, could I. So, I approached him. I leaned forward and just when I was about to touch his cheek with my lips, he turned his head. He crashed his lips onto mine and I was too perplexed to react. His hands went around my waist and pulled me closer. Just when I had come to my senses, he had pulled away. 'Goodnight, miss Y/N.' He took my hand and placed a kiss on the back of it. Then he took the books and gave them to me. I took them and rapidly left the room, forgetting to properly say goodbye to the prince. I was too shocked by what had just happened.
