HARRY'S POV
"What's taking her so long?" I whispered to myself while my foot tapped against the floor uncontrollably. I had been sitting in the common room waiting on Y/N for almost ten minutes.

'Knowing her she could've found someone new to flirt with. Not that i'd really care but- oh who am I kidding.' I stood up from the sofa and left the Gryffindor tower. It didn't take me long to get down the steps before they moved completely out of my way.

I found her as soon as I entered the hall. I hid behind the corner letting her pass by with Hermione and Ron on her side.

They were laughing about something but I looked down and noticed a ring on her index finger.

'Y/N doesn't wear rings often.' I thought to myself before stepping out into a crowd of Gryffindors that were following not far behind them.

We all reached the tower and Y/N was the first one to sit down, supposedly waiting on me. Hermione and Ron sat on her opposite sides and glanced at me when I walked in.

"Guess i'll be leaving now." Ron stood up almost immediately after he spotted me. Y/N grabbed his wrist before he could leave. My mind was racing like I had the urge to punch him right then.

"What's wrong?" Y/N questioned him kindly with a frown on her face.

"Don't worry. It's not your fault." Ron glared at me and attempted to walk away. I felt too guilty to let him exit after how happy he was with them earlier.

"Look Ron, i'm sorry, okay?" I apologized genuinely, "I wasn't trying to upset you or anyone else. You're my friend. If I made you mad it wasn't intentional and I'm sorry for the name calling that was completely irrational and I understand why you'd be upset." I defended myself before he got the chance to exit.

He turned back to me and smiled which left me quite disoriented, "Well, when you say it like that." He gleamed with a wave of his hand and sat in the empty chair next to the sofa.

The girls laughed at him as I sat by Y/N. I wanted to bring up her ring but, not while the other two were there.

"What are you guys doing for Christmas next week?" Y/N questioned while fiddling with the ring on her finger.

I sighed, "I'll be in my mansion with my wonderful family opening the biggest presents and feasting on the best meal of my life."

My sarcasm made the room to go quiet for a few seconds. Everyone simultaneously started their laughter, causing me to continue.

"I'll be here like always." I confirmed while sitting my arm behind Y/N on the sofa.

"Apparently i'll be here as well." Hermione announced with a soft smile, "I told my parents I already planned to be with you guys so if that means staying at Hogwarts, that's what i'll do."

"Aw, that's sweet, Hermione." Ron stated.
The rest of us turned to him, "What- Oh! I'm stuck here as well. My parents are going out of town." Ron smiled at us happily.

That means all of the Weasleys that attend Hogwarts will be staying as well. I smiled to myself finally getting to spend a week with Y/N.

No work. No problems. No Malfoy.

Just us.

Well, and Ron..

And Hermione..

And the rest of the Weasleys.

"Well.." Y/N spoke calmly, still gazing at that damn ring, "I'm off to bed." My brows twisted as she stood up and straight up left.

"Okay, something's off about her." Ron whispered as she got further to the girl's dormitories. I felt the presence of Hermione's nods from behind me as I turned to face Ron.
