When we were finally done shopping, we went back to the facility to get her room set up. We had Sam and Cap move the old things out of the room while we were shopping, so it will be completely empty when we get back. Not long after leaving the furniture store, Reese fell asleep. She looked so peaceful when she was sleeping. I didn't want to wake her up when we got there so I called Sam and he came and carried her to our room.
While Reese was sleeping we were setting up the furniture so that when she woke up, we could arrange things and put the decorations up. We finished that about an hour later and Reese was still sleeping. We waited about another thirty minutes before deciding that it was time to wake her up. We then decorated her room and watched some movies. In the end, her room looked like this:

Me, Reese, Natasha, Wanda, and Sam fell asleep watching some Disney movie on the couch. When we woke up the next morning, we made breakfast then gave Reese her phone. She was excited, to say the least. After she calmed down from that, Sam and I took her to our room to talk to her about something. She was sitting on our bed while Sam was trying to show her how to work her new device. It was a cute moment so I snapped a picture. I then went and sat down beside them with Reese in between Sam and I. "Reese, we want to talk to you about something. It is completely your choice though," I said as calmly as I could. "We want to adopt you. If that's alright with you?" Sam said looking at her. "YES!" she basically screamed. I and Sam burst out laughing. "Well you and Sam can go back to figuring out how to get that thing set up and I will get the papers. Sound good?" I asked. They both nodded.

Sam's POV
I was very excited that Reese was now legally our kid. I already loved her with everything I have. "Why don't we go get some ice cream to celebrate?" I heard Ava ask. "Yes!" Reese shouted. I loved these girls so much. After we decided on where to go get ice cream, we left the court house.
A few minutes later, we arived. I ordered mint chocolate chip, Reese ordered cookies and cream, and Ava ordered vanilla. Ava can be plain sometimes, but that's why I loved her. The girls don't know this yet, but I have a party planned for when we get back to the facility. It isn't going to be huge considering that neither of them like a lot of people, and tend to hide away during Tony's. It will just be us, the rest of the Avengers, Rhodey, Pepper, and Happy.
I was trying to stall until I got the message from Steve that everything was set up. I think Ava noticed because she pulled me to the side to ask if everything was okay. Of course I said yes and we continued with our day. About forty-five minutes later, I got the message from Steve that everything was set up and ready. So I took the girls back to the car and they were confused. "Okay, so I have a surprise fodr both of you. It is at the compound," They looked at each other confused, but nodded. A few minutes later, we arived at the compound and walked into the elevator to the floor of the living area where everyone would jump out and surprise them.
We walked through the door and I flicked the light on and everyone jumped out and yelled "congradulations". Reese jumped back and ended up falling backwards. Luckily, I caught her before she could hit the ground. We all started laughing at Ava and Reese's reactions. Eventually, everyone clamed down and we ate dinner and cake. We then stayed and talked for a little bit with everybody at the party. Reese fell asleep in between Tony and Rhodey and Ava said it was cute and made them smile for a photo. Tony had realized that Reese wasn't a threat, or even a potiental threat, and accepeted her as her niece.
Ava's POV
I saw that Reese had fallen asleep laying across Tony and Rhodey's lap. Of course I made the two smile for a picture, which they didn't want to take. Tony stopped seeing Reese as a threat and is starting to spoil her. A little while later, Rhodey carried her into her new room and layed her in her bed and covered her up.
He came back a little bit later and we all just sat, talked, and drank wine. We talked about how court went and how excited we were to have her here with us for the rest of our lives. We were having a good time until JARVIS alerted us that there was a disturbance in Reese's room. Me and Sam immediatly shot up and practically sprinted to her room with Tony and Rhodey following not far behind.
Once we got there, we saw her thrashing around in her bed and shouting "NO"I immeadiatlly ran to try and wake her up. A few miniutes later, she still wasn't waking up and I was staring to worry about her. We still didn't know for sure what abilities she had so I was hoping that her powers wouldn't be activated. Unfortually, they were. All of a sudden everything started to float around the room and a green energy formed around her fingers. It stayed like that for a few minutes before everything dropped, the energy went back into her fingers, and she shot up sweating and in tears. I felt bad for her mainly because I have expierienced it too. I swiftly walked over to her and hugged her. She hugged me back and just cried.
After that, I took her back to my room and layed down with her until she fell back asleep and I went back down to the living area. "How is she?" Sam asked the second I sat down next to him. "She cried herself to sleep," I looked up at him with a sad smile. I haven't even known her for a year and I would already die for her. Soon after that everyone went to sleep. Me and Sam had Reese in between us and we fell asleep pretty quickly.
