Chapter 31

Sidharth and Shehnaaz finish their packing. Rudhra and Naina were back home.

Since they were leaving in the evening, they cut the cake in the afternoon itself. They sing as he cuts the cake. Sidharth looks at Shehnaaz and she signals with her eyes towards Reema to be fed first. Sidharth feeds Reema the first bite and Reema feeds him the remaining.

Naina and Reema starts serving for lunch. Rudhra gets a call. Sidharth gestures Shehnaaz to follow him and she obliges. They go near the kitchen sink to wash hands.

Shehnaaz: What? Do you want me to turn on the tap?

Sidharth: I didn't feed you the cake yet.

Shehnaaz: Will eat it post lunch as dessert. What's the big issue?

Sidharth: It's my birthday and I want to feed you.

Sidharth shows his hand where he had a piece of cake. She smiles as he takes it to her mouth. She takes a bite and turns the cake towards him to bite saying 'Happy Birthday' but he holds her hand and kisses her lips to taste the cream on it. After a brief kissing, she pushes him with her one hand and stuffs the piece of cake she held in her hand into his mouth.

Shehnaaz: (she licks her finger) Ummm.. this is not our bedroom.

Naina: What are you two doing here? Let's go, lunch is served.

Shehnaaz: Aa.. hmmm.. yeah, he just wanted me to turn on the tap as his hands were smeared with cake.

Naina: Yeah, come quickly! (She goes)

Shehnaaz: (looks at Sidharth) Saved from embarrassment. You just want to start romance anywhere and everywhere.

Sidharth: Hello, I am romancing my personal wife not neighbour's wife that I have to feel embarrassed.

Shehnaaz: Really? Then you need not have to call me here to do this stuff. You could have done it outside, infront of everyone.

Sidharth: I don't mind, I thought you would have problem.

Shehnaaz: Is it? Then come, let's continue it outside infront of them. Come.

His smile vanished as it was taken over by worry. He gulped and followed her. They settled on the dinning chair beside each other. She picked up a piece of cake and took a bite and raised eyebrows at him. He was nervous and he immediately turned towards Rudhra.

Sidharth: Aaa.. aaa.. Rudhra Bhaiyya, how.. how was the trip?

Shehnaaz smiles and starts serving their plates.

Rudhra: (looks at Naina) It was amazing Jijaji.

Naina looks at him and smiles.

Rudhra: We saw quiet a few places. It was so refreshing. I mean me and Shehnaaz, our jobs are so hectic that we hardly went out. Our outting was only when we went on our undercover assignments. When our parents were alive they took us places but I don't think Shehnaaz will remember it because she was very small then.

Sidharth: No worries bhaiyya, we are going now and it's going to be memorable one for both of us.

He looks at Shehnaaz and she smiles.

Rudhra: Yes, enjoy your stay and have fun.

They say bye to everyone and take Reema's blessing before they board the cab to airport.

Sidharth puts his hand around her waist and tries to pull her closer. She hits his hand and signals him that they were not alone in the car. She picks a magazine from her bag and starts reading.

Sidharth: Hey Bhaiyya! What kind of customers mostly hire your service to airport? (To the driver)

Shehnaaz stares at Sidharth.
