“Where is she!?” I hear Richard yell from the back of the apartment. I had just reached the front door as we are doing a full sweep of the apartment. She is gone, Lilly had left only question where had she gone. I think we both know deep down where she had gone to but didn’t want to admit it yet. That was the worst possible scenario imaginable. I pull my phone out and try to call her but it goes straight to voicemail. I leave a message and by that time Richard is storming to the front of the apartment where I am.

“We have to find her.” Richard says, his voice frantic and desperate. His eye looking like those of an animal caught in a trap.

“I know. Why don’t you call Sam and see if they are together though. You know before you start to freak out too much.” He whips out his phone quickly and begins to scroll through his contacts. When he gets to Sam’s number he immediately calls but hers to goes straight to voicemail.

“Fuck!” Richard screams causing me to jump. “I bet she went and turned herself in to the lunatic.” He throws his phone and begins to pace around the room. He runs his hands through his hair gripping giant handfuls and pulling. “I’ll kill him.” He seethes through his teeth, then rams his hand into the front door. It causes another loud thud that makes me jump.

“Can you just chill!” I shout, feeling my anger turning on Richard.

“What do you mean chill! She’s gone, with some lunatic that wants her dead, and you want me to chill.” He stalks towards me his hands clenched into fist and by his sides.

I sigh heavily trying to get my anger under control. “Look, I know how bad of a situation this is but getting all worked up won’t do anything for us. The next logical step is to call in the police and tell them what happened. So let me call and I’ll get someone out here.” I pull out my phone and dial 911, holding my phone tightly in my hand.

“What in the fuck.” The cops  just left after being here for two hours getting statements from both Richard and I. They were proving to be no help as they took our statements and said, “She’s an adult and can legally leave on her own.” I tried to pressure them into taking us seriously, tried to get them to understand the severity of the situation. With no proof though there was nothing we could do, just hope and pray that she turned back up.

“I’m not just going to sit here.” Richard says getting up from the couch and going to the door. He is pissed and ready to kill any man with his bare hands. Especially if that man happened to have our Lilly. There was no more trying to calm him down, he was too far gone. He rips the front door open and standing there sobbing is Sam. She's dirty, dirt, tears, and blood streaking her face.

“He has her. She tried to escape but he hit her and she’s gone. “ She sobs rushing forward to hug Richard. She sobs heavily into his chest while he sits stunned, awkwardly patting her back.

“We are getting her back.” Richard says as calmly as he could manage. He looks back at me over his shoulder. “Tonight.” With that he moves Sam out of his way gently. "Quick go wash your face and come back." Sam runs off to do as she was told and a few minutes later came back looking a little more presentable. As soon as he sees Sam Richard starts out the door. When he’s out he looks back at us and says, “Coming?” Sam and I share a look but then both rush out of the door behind him. I slam the door and we all three take off down the hall at full speed. When we reach the car Richard and I get in the front while Sam jumps in the backseat.

“Sam do you remember how to get to where he kept you.” Richard ask, squealing tires on the way out of the parking lot.

“Not from here. Get me to the park and I can retrace our path.” Sam directs us to the exact park where Travis had swapped out the girls. She thought for a minute, I’m guessing to remember the directions correctly. Then she starts directing us actually where she had been taken by Travis. When we get there it’s an apartment complex.
