(Lily)

I leave Richard's room and head straight for the bathroom, yearning for a few moments of alone time. Something I haven't wanted since they had rescued me. I close the bathroom door behind me and lean against it, playing back what had just happened. When I first went into Richard's room I didn't know what I was planning on doing, or how I'd go about doing it. I just knew I wanted to at least try being around him. Hearing him lose control during our kiss had been a shock to my brain. Even though I should have expected him to lose control, I hadn’t prepared for it. When it happened it sent me back to that dark basement, to the sounds Travis used to make. Almost had me sent back in my recovery a couple of paces. But Richard was able to pull me out of it and got me back on track.

Leaning against the door I let a smile overtake my face at the fact that Richard was able to snap me back to reality so easily. I love how he didn’t continue to push my body for what he wanted. Smiling, I walk to the sink and turn on the cold water, letting my fingers play in the stream of frigid water. It helped to calm my racing brain so I gathered some of the water in my hands and splash my face. Enjoying the shock the cold water gives me. Using the hand towel that was hanging on the little hook I dry my hands and face before leaving the bathroom and heading into the kitchen. It’s hard to ignore the overwhelming sense of calm so I don't try to ignore it. I walk to the kitchen with the biggest smile on my face, following the quest of finding something to drink. As I pass by RIchards door I stare at it, contemplating on going back in but I choose against it. Once I reach the kitchen I open the fridge and just pull out a random soda to drink.

I suppose the sound of the can opening alerts Matt that I'm in the kitchen because soon after his head pops around the corner. “Hey babe.” He says somewhat cautiously as if he doesn't know quite how to act.

I give him a wide smile before taking a sip of my soda. “Hey there.” I say after I swallow, “Don’t worry, it went well.” I give him another smile followed by a giggle as he lets out a relieved sigh.

“Good, It’ll feel so much better around the house now.” He says jokingly as he comes over to drop a kiss on my forehead. I give him a knowing look as Richard comes around the corner.

“And why is that Mattie?” He questions coming up to follow his lead, pressing a kiss to my forehead right where Matt had just kissed me. He reaches for the fridge, his hand pressing against Matt's hip to move him out of the way. I don’t miss the way Matt's breath catches or the way Richard's hand lingers a little longer than necessary. I file that away in my brain for later snooping.

“Matt was saying how much better the environment in the house will be now that you and I are…kissing again?” I couldn’t think of a better way to phrase that. Both men chuckle and I can feel the blush creeping up my cheeks.

“I guess he is right on that.” Richard nods his head before taking a sip of his beer. “We need to discuss when we are going to get back to normal work life. None of us are made of money and we have been out of work for a little over a week at this point.” He sits down at the dining table and motions for Matt and I to join. We sit down and then Sam comes in with us to sit at the table.

“I’m planning on moving back to my parents, at least until we have a better idea of where Travis is and what his plans are.” Sam says, her eyes catching mine. “Now that all three of you have made up I’d rather not be around for the fuck fest sure to follow.” I blush at her words, my eyes staying glued to the table. “I’d feel more comfortable if you guys went with me, just in case he is waiting there for us to return.”

“That is the first step. Getting you and Lily out of there so he can’t find y’all. If I haven't already killed him.” Richard mumbles the last part under his breath but Sam doesn’t pick up on or hear the last part. “Second part is figuring out how to get Lily to work without us being able to stay by her side. He knows where she works so it’s an easy place to try.”
