"So that's how to find the square root?" I asked and Max nodded. I smiled, Max was my new boyfriend. We just started dating but something felt off he was oddly quiet and kept looking me up and down. I live with my mom, my dad, and my best friend Kai because he didn't have a place to live and I practically had to beg my dad to let him stay with us until he could find a house. but they aren't home right now. I am a witch, I get it from my mother's side passed down from Katherine. I felt my phone buzz and picked it up to check it. It was Kai.

"Who are you texting?" Max asked in a stern voice and I looked at him. "My friend Kai why?" I answered and Max looked angry. "because your smiling, is he saying something? something to make you cheat?" Max asked and I shook my head. "what no! Max, I would never-" I was interrupted by Max tying my hands to the front post of the bed with the bracelet I tried to get out of his grip but it was too firm. "Are you a virgin?" My sobs shaking my body, he could tell I was shaking and my breathing was uneven. 

"Shhh, it's okay I've got you. You're safe now. I've got you y/n" he told me and sat down still holding me. He pulled me next to him and I nudged my head into his chest. I felt safe in his arms. My crying calming down as he stroked my hair. "Kai," I said quietly and Kai intertwined my hand in his. "Yes?" he asked and I let out a small sob. "thank you, Kai." I sobbed and Kai hugged me tighter to him. He laid down and pulled me on top of him. We always cuddled even as best friends we didn't think it meant anything. "No sh sh sh shhhh quite, don't cry okay? I got you, everything gonna be okay." He pulled the blanket over us. Without thinking I lifted my head off of Kai's chest and kissed him softly he was shocked at first but kissed back. "You should have gotten with me instead of that dick" Kai joked and I laughed. "I wanted to," I said back and he gave me a look. "I didn't expect that to be honest, but you wanted to be with me?" he asked with a smirk. "well yeah but I was just worried that well that you wouldn't feel the same way" I sighed and Kai shook his head and pulled me into a passionate kiss.
