Nightmares Part 2

Type: love, friendly, friendship 

Prologue: You wake up with Kai after the night he had a nightmare.

The sun beamed into the room shining onto Kai's face. My eyes fluttered open and he was still asleep with his arms wrapped around my waist. I smiled admiring his facial features, tracing them with my thumb. Going around his pink plump lips and sharp jawline. The sun hit his face just right, making it glow, his perfectly smooth babyface. I leaned in to softly plant a small kiss on his warm and soft lips. I pulled away to see a smile spread across his newly awakened face. The golden sunrise accenting his perfectly whitened teeth. I returned the smile and brought my hand up to lightly brush through his hair. It was soft and warm from the sun his smile softened and he went to say something but I shushed him and cuddled closer to him. Hugging his slightly muscular body, he was so comfortable to hug and be around and I enjoyed every second of it. 

"You're so beautiful, did I ever tell you that?" Kai said softly brushing a piece of hair behind my ear and my face flashed a bright red. I thought about a comment to say back. "Did anyone ever tell you that you're amazing, and sweet when you want to be, and literally the best person to cuddle with" I said laughing at the last part and Kai laughed a little bit to. "I wanted to say thank you... for being there for me after the nightmare. you didn't have to. I deserve the pain." Kai frowned with pain in his voice. "no" I started saying before cupping his face. "Malachai Parker, you didn't deserve any of it. You killed your family because of what they put you through. You are not a bad guy Kai, you deserve the world. You deserve a chance. And I love you. I'm going to keep saying that till it sinks into your head that you are able to be loved." I said with tears streaming down my face in sorrow for what Kai has gone through. I really did love him, I loved everything about him, his greyish blue eyes, his smile, his laugh, the way his face lights up when I complement him, the way he likes no facial hair, the way that he jokes around. I love everything about him. More tears went down my face in realization that I was the only person in over 22 years of Kais life that had ever told him that someone love him. He wiped the tears away from my face and softly kissed me. 

"I love you too y/n, and I will never stop loving you, you are the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. Thank you, for everything. For believing that I deserve a life and a second chance. but please promise me, that you will never leave me." Kai said with some tears slipping the sockets of his gorgeous eyes. I hated to see him cry, I couldn't help but lean in to kiss him once again. This time we ended the kiss with a hug. The hug never broke, we just laid down hugging and didn't want to stop. "I will never leave you Kai, I promise, I can't live without you" I told him letting more sobs out into his chest. I could feel Kai crying from his silent sobs julting his body once and a while. 

"Kai?" I asked quietly but loud enough for him to hear. "Yes pumpkin?" he answered and I blushed a little. "Are we um, a, well, you know-" I started saying before Kai laughed and cut me off. "Yes, yes we are" he said and a smile spread my face, I hugged him just a little bit tighter. We had only just started dating, but I've liked him for a long time and fell in love with him a long time ago. No matter what he did or how many times he tried to kill me, I love him, and he loves me. Kai pulled me on top of him and I laid my head down on his chest as his arms wrapped around me. I wrapped my arms around him, I had never felt like this before in a long time. I felt safe, and secure, and if anything, I felt like I was home. Even though I wasn't, I was in this world where the day would repeat. It was the exact opposite of home. But Kai made me feel like I was at home. I looked up to see him looking at me, a small smile spread across his cheeks causing his sharp jawline to sharpen. 

"Do you want breakfast?" Kai asked cupping my face and I nodded. I got off of Kai immediately missing the warmth of his body. I stretched and got up off the bed and he frowned. "What?" I asked with a laugh and he sat up at the side of the bed and held his arms out for a hug. I looked at him in awe and walked over to him to hug him. He stood up allowing me to hug him and he hugged me back. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he carried me down the stairs with him. He sat me down on the counter before he made his way to the fridge to get out the eggs and butter. 

"So whats on the menu chef?" I asked playing with the spatula twirling it between my fingers. "Well have you ever heard of Kiss the chef? Becasue I believe I'm the chef" he said with his cocky sarcastic tone. I smiled and he walked to me, I cupped his face and brought him into a kiss. The kiss was soft yet passionate. Kai broke the kiss to get back to cooking. I hoped off the counter and walked behind him wrapping my arms around his waist as he cooked. "Is there anything I can do to help?" I asked and he smiled. 

"You have already done so much for me y/n, you deserve to rest, how about you go lay down on the couch. and I'll cook you up a nice breakfast," Kai said turning around to kiss me on the head. My heart fluttered and I smiled a little. "But I wanna be over here with you" I whined and saddened my face pouting my lip. A smile of awe spread Kais face "aw" he said and hugged me to him. I hugged him back inhaling his sweet cologne smell off his grey shirt. The hug broke and Kai went back to cooking, I took a seat at the table laying my head on it and looking at Kai as he cooked. I yawned to my self, I hadn't gotten a lot of sleep last night. Kai turned his head to me and stoped cooking for a second to walk into the living room and grab out a blanket from the basket. He went back to me and put it on me leaving a kiss on my head before he went to return to cooking. I couldn't believe how sweet he could be but I really really liked it. I felt my eyes getting heavier and drifted off to sleep at the table.

"hey, pumpkin, wake up," Kai said and my eyes fluttered open, I sat and stretch letting out a childish yawn. He smiled a little at me and placed the food dish in front of me. I smiled slightly with my eyes closed, Kai leaned down to kiss me. After the kiss broke he sat next to me and we ate our breakfasts. Once I finished I thanked Kai for the meal and got out of my seat to go put my trash away. I turned around to see Kai looking at me. 

"Do you wanna go cuddle?" Kai asked me using a babyish tone in his voice. I couldn't help but soften the look on my face in awe and walked to him. I jumped into his arms wrapping my legs around his torso as he walked up the stairs with me. He sat me down on the bed before crawling next to me and cuddling up to me burying my head into his chest. One of my legs draped over his as he laid on his side. I wanted to say something but wasn't sure what to say. Instead I took his hand and played with it looking at his rings on his fingers. "I like this one" I said pointing to it. "here, keep it." he said taking the ring off and putting it on me, the ring was way to big for my fingers. He laughed at my smallness "well, you could always put it on a necklace chain" he said and I smiled. I was still tired and he could tell. 

"Do you wanna take a nap baby?" he asked and my heart beated faster at the new nickname. "Yes" I replied and he nodded, "I promise. No more nightmares" Kai said and I snuggled closer to him pulling the blankets onto us. "Okay mal" I said and saw a smile appear from his nickname that he loved. We both drifted off into a nightmareless sleep.
