Regris x Reader

A serious discussion

After you and Regris put Rez, who was now almost three years old, to bed in his own bedroom you both returned to your own bedroom. Regris had been doing some serious thinking lately, but he was nervous to ask you about it. By now he knew almost everything about human traditions and stuff because you taught him, but he wasn't sure if he would ever get to experience any of it.

"Hey, what's wrong?" You asked, noticing that Regris seemed preoccupied.

"Nothing, I've just been thinking about something." Regris said as you pulled him out of his thoughts.

"You know you can tell me anything." You said as you say next to him on the bed.

"Y/n, are you happy with me as your mate?" Regris asked, a frown on his face.

"Of course I am. You're my one and only true love." You said reassuringly.

"You're mine as well. But do you… I mean… Have you ever wanted to get married, you know, the human way?" Regris asked you nervously.

"I haven't really thought about it much. I suppose it would be nice, but that means we would have to go to Earth. But yes, it would be nice." You told him.

"I really want to marry you, but I know the journey to Earth would take two to three phoebs not to mention we'd need to stop for supplies." Regris said, smiling slightly.

"I don't mind." You said, smiling up at him.

"Then we can begin planning the journey tomorrow after breakfast." Regris said, hugging you.

You hugged Regris back, happy that you had him in your life. You couldn't believe that he wanted to marry you and that you were going back to Earth; you didn't even know if your parents were still around. You were a little nervous to go back to Earth, but you were also slightly excited. Regris couldn't help but be excited and anxious about going to Earth, but he was going to do it for you.
