After the twins ran into the forrest, they kept moving till they found a stable place to stay for the night.

"I can make us a cave with my Earth powers, maybe even beds" said Ten, tired of running around.

"No, you are already tired, you will drain yourself if you use your powers. Besides, you can control Earth properly yet, the bad men might find us if you go out of control. "
said Eleven, she doesn't say much but when it's just Ten, she doesn't stop talking. Ten doesn't mind but sometimes, it gets annoying.

"Look who is the mom now" Ten muttered to herself.

"What did you say? " asked Eleven, having a jokingly serious expression on her pale face.

"Nothing" said Ten as she quickly put her hands up as if it would make Eleven more convinced.

"I sense rain, we should hurry up if we don't wanna get soaked" stated Ten, quickening her pace. Eleven followed after her.

As Ten had predicted, soon enough, rain started to pour down upon Hawkins with no mercy. Ten and Eleven had been in the forest for at least an hour but no vail in finding a place to stay. They just blindly walked through the forest.

Suddenly, Ten remembered something that might help. She remembered Papa , Dr. Brenner, say something about her powers to other bad men. He said that she could talk to trees and however ridiculous that might sound, Ten was going to do anything if it meant she could get a place that doesn't have water pouring down on her like a ruthless force, she didn't mind the cold, it doesn't affect her as she can control Ice too, she hasn't learned how to yet, but it still doesn't affect her.

"Stop, I think I have an idea" said Ten quietly, not wanting to waste her energy.

Eleven nodded at her and waited for her to do whatever she was going to do. Ten slowly made her way in the middle of the group of trees they were in and closed her eyes. She concentrated on first on herself. How the soaked cloth felt uncomfortable on her pale skin and the chill that reached her bone, it was not of the cold, it was out of fear. Fear that the bad men might find her and Eleven and take them back to the lab, fear that it might find them, fear that Eleven might die of Hypothermia. She focused on the wind that was so strong, it could shatter a window, against her soft skin, only intensifying the cold from the wet oversized shirt she was wearing.

She shifted her focus on what she could hear. The thunderous clapping on the rain droplets on the soft and muddy forest ground, how it sounded different when the droplets fell on leaves that had fallen off because of the strong wind that swirled around her ears. She could also hear soft hushed whispers, she couldn't understand what they were saying. She focused on the whispers which were slowly getting more and more clear and easier to understand.

"I heard that Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington have started dating"

"I heard the Byers boy went missing"

"No no, wasn't he here yesterday, his bike almost hit you know, them"

"No way, I am sure they must be pissed"

Great, the trees like to gossip. Ten was looked at the trees, exasperated.

"I need a favor, can you tell me where to find a safe place to sleep for this night?" asked Ten

The trees started whispering among themselves again, some even laughed as if she was joking.

"Dear, no place is safe, not when he is out there, waiting for his plan to unfold. " One of the trees said, it looked like it was old and sounded wise.

Ten was confused to say the least. She always had a big curiosity that will one be the end of her. One day, Papa had finally had enough of Ten interrogating him about the outside world.

"Curiosity once killed a cat, you know. " said Dr. Brenner when he was talking to Ten.

After that incidence, Eleven would always tease Ten with that to which Ten found a witty reply.

"Yeah but satisfaction brought it back" said Ten with a winning smirk on her face. Since then, she would always say this whenever Dr. Brenner would try to tame down her curiosity.

"Who is he? What plan?" asked Ten

"You'll figure it out" said the tree

Ten decided to drop it and looked at Eleven who was patiently waiting for Ten to finish.
When Eleven looked at her, Ten shook her head indicating that she didn't succeed.

Eleven sighed and continued to walk aimlessly in the woods. Ten followed behind her.

As they were walking, Ten slowly took Eleven's hand in hers and used a bit of her fire powes to heat up her hand to help warm El up.

"Don't worry Ellie, we'll find a way" said Ten assuringly. Eleven nodded her head as a small smile graced her lips and walked closer to Ten, trying to find as much warmth as she can also that Ten can be a human heater if she was asked to.

-

"Will! ,Will! "

"Byers! "

"I got your X-Men 134! "

It had been sometime since Ten's failed attempt at getting some information out of the trees. Ten and Eleven were walking around aimlessly around the forest when they sensed the boys presense but it was too late as the boys now made their way near to the twins. Ten had been quick enough to drag Eleven and herself in a bush before the boys could see them.

"I am just being realistic, Lucas!" said one of the boys, he had a sky blue backpack.

"No, you're just being a big sissy" said another boy, he had a dark blue backpack.

The boys were slowly reaching the bush Ten and Eleven were currently hiding in. Ten decided to make a run for it and signed Eleven the same.

"Did you ever think Will went missing because he ran into something bad and we are going in the exact same spot he was seen last? And we have no weapons or anything?" said the boy with the sky blue backpack.

Eleven nodded and they quickly shot from the bush. They hid behind a tree trunk after hearing the noise that they made.

"Dustin shut up. " said the boy in the middle as he stopped in his tracks. He must have heard the noise they had made.

"I am just saying, does that seem smart to you? " continued the boy with the sky blue backpack

"Shut up. Shut up. "

"Did you hear that? " asked the boy

Ten signalled Eleven and it seemed like Eleven got what she was saying and quickly made that leaves on the opposite side of them rustle. This distracted the boys and Ten along with Eleven dashed from their spot to behind that boys.

Unfortunately, the boys turned and pointed their flashlights at the twins. The twins looked like a deer caught in flashlights. They were soaked from the rain, hungry and although Ten tried alot, Eleven was shivering. Ten was suddenly protective over Eleven and stood in front of her, shielding her from the view of the three boys.
