A/N POV~

"What happened?" Emma asked as he entered the kitchen with his hair sticking out to all directions.

"Berry attacked me." Chris lied with a sheepish smile.

"I'm not gonna ask why," Emma said hiding her smile by inflating her cheeks and looking back at her book. Chris softly chuckled at her method of holding back her laughter. He fixed his hair and sat across Emma on the high chair of the counter.

"I already got a lot of information from the library but I don't think that would be enough for the both of us." Emma showed Chris what she found out. He was impressed by how neat her notes were. His notes are usually neat too but hers was just perfect. He looked at her and said

"Well, that shouldn't be a problem cause I have a book about this I got from my school back in Sydney. I'll go get it." Chris stood up from his seat to get the book from his bedroom.

"Can I come too?" This question that came from Emma confused Chris. He looked hesitant at first. He was not sure if his room was clean. When he realized that Emma was waiting for him to answer, he quickly gave a nod and asked her to follow him. She followed him like an obedient kid with her hands at the back.

When they stopped in front of his bedroom door he stood there looking down at the girl who was gonna see his bedroom. He gave her a small smile before slowly opening the door only enough to put his head in and check if the room was clean. To his luck it was clean so he suddenly stood straight and opened the door wide for the girl to get in. His sudden actions caused Emma to flinch and keep a hand on her chest.

She slowly went in admiring the simple yet casual room which was perfect for a teenager. Picture frames all over one wall of the room, a big bean bag chair. Emma's eyes moved all around the room until they stopped at something certain on the bed which caused her cheeks to be red as a tomato.

Seeing her now red face Chris followed her gaze and his eyes widened at what she was looking at. He quickly went towards his bed grabbed his underwear and threw it on top of his wardrobe. This caused Emma to laugh so hard she had tears coming from her eyes. She lost her balance and fell on her butt, but still laughed. Chris stood there rubbing the back of his neck embarrassed.

Why didn't I notice it? He thought.

Emma was still laughing which had Chris laughing too. He went towards her and helped her up. She wiped her tears showing that she had enough of laughing.

Chris remembered why they came here and went to grab the book he mentioned earlier. While Emma went towards the picture frames. There were pictures of Chris of various ages with his family and friends. Emma thought Chris looked cute when he was a small kid.

"Who's this?" She pointed at some other boy and asked.

Chris who was busy looking for the book looked at the picture she asked about and said that it was his small brother, Lucas, who was studying back home in Australia.

She then went back to looking at the other pictures and one certain picture in the center of all the frames, caught her attention causing her eyebrows to come together. It was a picture of little Chris struggling to hold baby Hannah, another boy who was not Lucas, and a girl of the same age as Chris, beside them. The girl wore a pink frock and had cute pigtails. She looked really familiar. Emma felt weird. She felt like her head was spinning but she shrugged it off.

Suddenly her head started to ache as if someone had hit her with a hammer. The pain was so unbearable causing her to hold her head tight and crouch down. She let out a painful groan which made Chris turn back at her and run towards her. She was still holding her head and started to scream in pain. He gently shook her shoulders but nothing worked.
