A/N POV~
"You did well!!" Chris exclaimed as they got out of class. They were jumping up and down holding hands, happy that the presentation went well.
"We did well!!" Emma corrected him.
Chris was so happy for her that he stopped jumping and wrapped his arms around Emma's waist and effortlessly lifted her pulling her in for a hug.
She was caught off guard by his action. He was confused as to why he did it. When he was about to place her back down and pull away as there was no response from her, she hugged him back wrapping her arms around his neck.
They both wanted to stay like this forever but that's not practical. So they were pushed apart from each other by a tiny figure squeezing itself between them and grinned at Chris. Emma stepped back embarrassed by what just happened. It was Felix who interrupted their moment. Chris didn't know why but he sure was unhappy about him ruining the moment. Felix noticed it and smirked. Then he winking at Emma and give a soft punch on her arm and simply walked away. She and Chris stood there dumbfounded, not understanding what their younger friend just did. And for what.
"Um, what just happened?" Chris asked in English as he saw the dude walking away winking at everyone. Squealing was heard from the girls.
"I have NO idea..." Emma replied in English looking in the same direction as him.
"Our friends are.....what was the word..."
"Weird?" Chris asked.
"Exactly." Emma snapped her fingers at the word. They both looked at each other and then burst out laughing. And began walking towards their next class.
TIME SKIP
EMMA POV~
After lunch, I laid on the couch and began scrolling through Instagram to waste time. From my peripheral view, I saw Jake with his phone coming and looking around the living room for a place to sit. He then came and lifted my feet and placed them on his lap as he sat there. There was silence, but not an awkward one as we were busy with our own work. Not long until Jake broke it by asking a question out of the blue
"Do you believe in Soulmates?"
"I've only heard the word soulmates," I said to which he just nodded looking at his phone.
"Oh, and I know it's something like two people who understand each other and things like that. I don't know what the actual definition is though" I said lifting my head to look at him and then back at my phone.
"Do you want to hear what it is? I can read it for you..." He asked looking at me and raised his eyebrows. I turned my gaze from the phone to him and narrowed my eyes asking myself if I want to know more about it.
"Ok." I blurted out as I switched off my phone and sat up crossing my legs.
"So, here it goes..." He stared off.
"A soulmate is about a love connection but also about a connection with someone who accepts you and knows you. They are two souls that join together to perfect each other. Soulmates often see their relationship as 'us against the world.' " He read making me wonder if this stuff is real or not.
"Woah...I want this to be real so bad, but it's hard to believe having that one perfect person who just gets you." He scoffed. I nodded with a sigh. Then he continued
"Here are some signs that show that you have manifested your soulmate:" He read making me even more interested to hear more. Then I listened carefully to what he read next
