JAKE POV~
"How can I help you, sir?" The clinic receptionist asked me when she noticed me standing in front of the counter.
"Could you tell me if Dr. Kim is in his office right now?" I asked her earning a nod from her. Smiling at me she picked up the telephone and dialed his office and asked if he was there.
"Yes, Dr. Kim. You have a visitor." She said looking at me and then at the small screen in front of her.
"Sir, could you tell me your name, Dr. Kim wants to know who his visitor is." She moved the phone away from her ear and asked me.
"Jake."
"Jake, doctor. Ok, I'll let him know." She said before hanging up and looking up at me.
"He said he has a patient right now. So you can meet him after that. You can go and sit outside his room." I nodded and gave a smile before thanking her and going to the waiting room.
I went and sat on a chair near his door in the waiting room. As I didn't have anything to do I took out my phone and began playing my favorite car race game. I was so concentrated on it but I could hear shuffling coming from beside me showing that someone sat there. My mind was telling me to look who the person was, for no reason. A purposeless curiosity. There was nothing good going to happen to me if I see who the person was but I was really curious.
So I paused my game and slowly turned my head to my right and my eyes widened seeing a beautiful face. The person was a 'she'. She looked like an angel sent from above. I let out a small gasp. Because of how close our seats were, she heard me, turned to me, and gave a smile. It was the most beautiful smile I've ever seen.
A/N POV~
He didn't know he was staring at her until she waved her hand in front of his face. He came back to reality, blinked a few times, and bit his lip before clearing his throat. He quickly turned back to his game and resumed it. But his fingers became clumsy and the virtual car he was driving ended up crashing earning a defeated groan from him and a loud 'you lose' from the phone.
Him being clumsy made her press her lips to hold back the small laugh she wanted to let out but didn't, thinking he would feel bad. Jake turned to her and gave an awkward smile putting his phone back into his pocket. She looked away to hide her now pink cheeks which he didn't notice.
Should I start a conversation?
Or should I just mind my own business? They both thought.
BACK TO JAKE POV~
While I was thinking of what to do next, hyung's office door which said Dr. Kim Taehyung, opened revealing a patient coming out after her consultation. I exhaled loudly in relief and quickly jolted up from my seat and sprinted towards the door, accidentally bumping into the girl while at it. I said a quick sorry and got in and closed the door behind me.
I looked around the room. It was strange cause he was nowhere to be seen. He was not on his huge spinning chair. Maybe he went to the toilet was what I assumed before going and sitting on his chair and began acting like a doctor. I took a paper from his notepad and a pen from his pen holder and wrote rubbish. I've always felt that doctors' handwriting was almost similar to scribbling in a line. I always teased him for that. (No offense to the doctors out there.)
Suddenly a large and slender hand grabs my leg from under the table making me flinch and fall off the chair screaming. The hand was still holding my leg so I kicked it off with my other leg and got up and ran towards the other side of the room. I was panting from the big incident that seemed to have happened within seconds.
