One Year Later
-Aldera Junior High-
On a day that seemed like any other, in which teachers went on for hours and hours with their lessons while students (or at least some of them) paid attention to their words, Izuku Tokita found himself staring out the window of his classroom while spinning a pen on his right hand, blocking out his teacher droning on about math. On most days he would've been able to hold his focus, even after a particularly hard and unforgiving workout with his dad or Cosmo at the dojo, but today...
*siiigh*
An irritated sigh made its way through the boy's lips.
In case it wasn't clear already, Izuku was in a bad mood.
He was forced to sit there, in the classroom, listening to and learning lessons that he already knew practically everything about, thanks to Shunka's private lessons...
"To be fair, I was the one who insisted on going back to school... But still...!"
He shook his head to get rid of the thought.
That's not what he was truly upset about anyway.
"Tokita-kun, please answer this question for us."
The teacher asked the teen, pointing at the equation written on the blackboard. Izuku, without even taking his eyes off the view outside the window, replied.
"'X' is equal to five and two thirds."
The teacher nodded.
"Correct. Well done, Tokita-kun."
Then he turned back to the blackboard, resuming the lesson. Izuku tried to ignore the usual whispers of the class, split between the girls who were gushing and squealing at the green-haired teen, and the scornful and snide remarks from the boys.
Izuku let out a slight, almost imperceptible growl.
The real reason for his discontent was simple. Instead of wasting time here in class, he could be in the dojo or anywhere else training with the Niko Style.
No, that wasn't right.
It not that he could.
He has to train.
Especially after the incredible fiasco that Gakigahara Forest was.
The back of his head itched at the memory and-
*crack!*
"Huh?"
Looking at his hand, he noticed that he had accidentally snapped the pen he was holding just now.
Sighing, Izuku tried to calm down, redirecting his attention outside. However, he was so caught up watching the clouds in the sky, that he registered the teacher's voice a little too late.
"All right, you are all in third grade now."
The math teacher said in a strict voice as he looked to everyone.
"In other words, now more than ever you need to start thinking seriously about your future."
Izuku barely paid attention to the teacher's words, deciding instead to review that morning's notes in his notebook.
