-Nakata Apartment-

*hissssss*
Inside the Nakatas' apartment, a single figure could be seen. Intent on cooking what appeared to be a mountain of pancakes, Ichiro hummed happily as he put on a plate yet another serving of fluffly goodness.
The television was on in the background, broadcasting the recent news about the weather, the latest events, the noteworthy actions of some Heroes and whatnot. As he finished setting the table, the boy noticed two figures emerging from the corridor that led to the bedrooms.
"Mmgh... what's smelling so goo-Ichiro?"
Yuka shrugged off the sleepiness she still had once she saw her son setting up the table. She carried a still sleepy Ichika on her arms, who also brightened up upon seeing her big brother.
"Ichi-nii!"
She jumped from her mother's arms, and approached the table with wide and almost starry eyes.
"Did you cook all this?!"
She asked incredulous, a little bit of drool coming out of her mouth. Ichiro smiled as he picked her up and placed her into one of the chairs. He gestured towards one of them to Yuka, inviting her to sit down.
"Sure did! I also asked Green for some tips to make the pancakes tastier!"
He grinned proudly, eliciting some chuckles from the other two. After that, he joined them at the table and with an energetic "dig in!", the family started breakfast. Bright and playful banters were exchanged between the three, as they happily indulged in the hearty meal that Ichiro cooked. Once in a while, he casted a look towards his mother and sister, trying to gauge their reactions.
That was enough to make him smile like a goof.
Thanks to his work at Ajiro Fisheries, and the pay he received for it, Ichiro was able to greatly help his mother. Now the woman could definitely take it easy with the amount of work she did, and it showed. She was now looking healthier and livelier, unlike how she was before. Even Ichika, seeing the much better state her mother was in, was now even brighter and chippier than usual.
That alone made Ichiro's job worth it. A lot.
After they finished breakfast, Ichiro and Yuka cleared the table, putting the dirty plates and cutlery in the sink. After that, the boy retired to the room he and his sister shared. After helping Ichika prepare for the day, the boy got dressed himself.
Neatly placed on the chair of a desktop, a very peculiar uniform almost seemed to call out to him. Feeling excited just by looking at it, he picked it up and started putting it on.
Just as he was done with it, Yuka walked into the room. Her eyes immediately went to her son.
