You unlocked the door to the house, the laboratory looked as menacing as ever.

Still, you tried to push all of those thoughts from your mind as you prepared your dinner.

It was a Chicken and Mushroom PotNoodle if you are curious. (A.k.a the best flavour)

It was only about 4:30 but you wanted to eat early tonight.

You were definitely going out to investigate, with or without the party.

And the best time to go out would probably be when everyone else was busy eating,

Thinking about the party, you put your dinner to the side and picked up the radio.

It was an old thing and on a good day it could pick up the nearest radio station.

Your dad often used it to tune into the laboratory sound system since it was the same brand as the ones they had in there.

You changed it's frequency to 476 Mhz, just as the party told you to.

Apparently it was their 'way of maintaining contact' as Dustin said.

Static filled the room.

The crackly sound made you feel uncomfortable as you went on to speak.

"Hello? Is anyone there? Over."

You waited for a couple of seconds, not knowing if you'd got the number mixed up, if the radio didn't work or if they simply weren't active on the channel at that particular moment.

Then a muffled voice came into focus.

It was barely audible over the static but the more attention you paid to it, the more obvious the words became.

The voice was whispery and the things it was saying didn't exactly make sense.

"Hello? Who is this?" You ask into the radio, sadly, with no response.

The voice just kept on.. singing?

You could tell it was a boy's voice but you didn't really recognise it.

But now, what he was saying was getting clearer and clearer.

Well come on and let me know...

Should I stay or should I go..

If I go there will be trouble

The poor guy was shivering with every word, it was hard to tell if he was cold or scared, maybe both.

"Hello?" You say again, "Who is this?"

This time, the singing stopped and so did the static.

All you could hear was the boy's heavy breathing.

You stayed silent, feeling the anticipation, feeling your heart racing.

"H-Help me, it's coming."

Those four words sent an eerie chill down your spine, slicing through your body like electricity.

There was a crash on the other side of the radio  and static filled the room once more.

In shock you stood up suddenly, knocking the radio onto the floor.

It fell apart, causing wires and little pieces of machinery to be revealed.

As it lay there on the floor, it began to glitch.

Different sounds filled the room.

People talking, music, laughter, adverts.

And then the radio fizzled out.

But you could've sworn that you heard a screech from it.

A screech that sounded just like the... the...

The creature.
