After about 10 minutes, you had fixed the radio.
It was almost like a distraction from the noises that had previously come out of it.
Even though there was the possibility that the moment you switched it back on that you might hear worse.
"Done." You mutter under your breath as the static came into focus.
This time, the voices were recognisable and crystal clear or as clear as you could get on a dodgy radio.
"So what do you guys think about looking for Will?" You hear one voice speak, most likely Lucas.
"I don't know, the sherif said no." Dustin says.
You shift in your seat at the silence before Mike quickly added.
"Yeah but Will would want to do it for us."
You didn't feel like joining into the conversation just yet, listening to their voices was almost like watching a television show.
"Dude, you know that we could go missing too?" Dustin says.
"Who do you think's doing it?" Lucas asks.
"Don't know, but don't you think it's strange that Y/n talks to us the one day that Will goes missing?" Mike says.
You raise your eyebrows, was he just suggesting that you kidnapped Will?
You almost laughed it was so dumb.
"No, she literally saw his bike, she was probably trying to help or something." Dustin says.
"She is quite weird though." Lucas adds.
"I think she's just not being quiet anymore which is fair enough." Dustin says.
"Yeah but like, the air around her feels weird, I don't know how to put it, I don't know." Lucas mumbled into his radio and it went silent for a bit.
"Hmm, well, I'm going out looking for Will, with or without you guys." Mike says.
You contemplate whether to speak at that moment.
Yeah, you were going to look for Will but you weren't sure that the party would want you to go with them.
"Same." You place the word into the silence and static of the radio.
"Y/n! You have a radio!" Lucas says, you could tell he was shocked.
"Yeah, I'm not bothered about you guys calling me weird, let's face it, we all are." You say even though you were slightly bothered.
Damn, that sounded cringy.
"Definitely." Mike says, laughing a little.
"So, I say we meet at the lamppost at the end of the road where Will's bike was found and then we go from there." You suggest.
"Woah, woah, woah! I never said I was coming!" Dustin says.
"Pleaseeeee" Mike says into his radio, prolonging the word in a sing-song way.
"The more of us, the more chance we have at finding him." You add, hoping that it wouldn't just be you and Mike, that'd be awkward.
"I'm coming I guess." Lucas sighs into his radio.
"Brilliant." Mike says.
"Son of a bitch.. I'm coming." Dustin says.
"See you at the lamppost in half an hour!" You say, "Over and out."
You switch off the radio, stand up and grin.
You were going on your first ever adventure with your new friends.
