The party rode along the road together, it was almost as if someone was trying to recreate 'The Loser's Club' from It. I mean, you did fit that description, you were all losers.

Lucas and Dustin took the lead, gossiping about a... demogorgan?

"Hey!" You shout to them, quickening your pace to catch up with them, "What are you on about? What's a demogorgan?"

Lucas stared at you confusedly, "We spoke about this last night, do you not rememb-"

Dustin suddenly interrupted, making fun of his friend in the process, "No stupid, she left early."

"Oh yeah.." Lucas recalled, then filled you in with what you missed.

"The moment you left, El seemed a little calmer and Mike convinced her to show us what he showed her earlier in the day." Lucas paused for a breath as you and Dustin listened intently, spinning the pedals of your bicycles in the process, "Apparently, Will is in 'The Upside Down.' and apparently a monster is after him. The demogorgan."

Monster?

What monster would be in Hawkins?

Oh shit.

With all the drama about your new friends, the new girl, Will being missing and the police chief constantly knocking on your door, you'd forgotten the one thing that scared you the most.

It was almost as if you'd blocked it out of your mind on purpose to try and protect yourself but now, all your bad thought were coming back.

"Y/n." Lucas looked concerned, "You've gone pale. Like dead body pale."

"Are you going to throw up?" Dustin blurted, bracing himself for the possible vomit situation.

"No." You snap yourself out of it, "No I'm fine."

But you weren't, the more you thought about it the more you realised what mess Will was now in. It couldn't have been coincidence that you found his abandoned bike moments after you escaped from the monster.

In some ways you felt guilty and most certainly didn't want Will to have the same horrifying end as your parents.

Determination flared inside of you, making you turn the pedals faster and harder. The group followed.

As you twisted and turned through the streets of Hawkins, Mike would yell directions El had given him and soon your determination wondered from Will to El.

And you honestly had no idea how you were 'worse' than the 'bad men.' You ground your teeth just thinking about it.

Again, all your anger and determination made you pedal faster.

"Y/n! Look out!!"

A streetlamp pole was rapidly approaching.

Shit.

You pulled your breaks but they didn't work.

Shit.

In the last couple of seconds, you swerved away from the obstacle. But the weird thing was, it wasn't you who made the bike swerve.

You immediately slammed your feet onto the ground, spinning back to face El. She'd saved you... but she hated you??

"Uh.." You didn't know what to say, adrenaline was pumping through your veins, "Thanks." You mumble to her.

All eyes were on the two of you and you were grateful that Eleven was the one who decided to speak next.

"I didn't do it for you." She replies, turning her head towards the gravel footpath to Will's house.
