"Why can't we I just don't understand," I yell "Because you are not ready." He replies "Oh but your so special right. You can go through it." I say I and Derek were arguing about having another kid. "I'm looking out for you ok." He says "I told you I am not a delicate flower stop protecting me," I yell "Ok look I love you ok but I'm not sure we can go through losing another kid." He says "I know but we have Zola and Bailey and you almost died so why wait," I say He approaches me and puts his arms over my waist and I put my arms around his neck. We link our foreheads and he says," I am 100% with you ok. If you want another baby let's have another baby. Let's try and shoot for a girl. "Ok," I say "We probably should get ready for work," I say We get up and get dressed. I found on my patients and scrub in on a surgery with Bailey. I get a page after the surgery. Derek" 911 meet me in on-call room on 3rd floor I run to the elevator and press level 3. I open the door and see him sitting on the bed. "I had an emergency craniotomy and the woman started having a heart attack she lost a pulse and I couldn't resuscitate her so now I have to tell her wife she didn't make it." He says "Oh, baby I'm sorry," I say I sit on the bed and he lays on my shoulder. I get under the blankets and he lifts my shirt and puts his head in and puts my shirt back down. 15 minutes later he falls asleep and Bailey comes in. "Hey, Grey." She whispers "Hey, do you need something," I ask "I'm looking for Shepard." She whispers again I lift my shirt up to show him and she asks," what happened." "He lost a patient," I say "How long did he know her." She asks "Since he was in New York," I say "Mm ok well when he wakes up tell him I was looking." She says "I will," I reply "Oh and Grey good job." She says "For what," I ask "Everyone in this hospital knows how much you two love each other. Every as an intern I couldn't keep you two away from each other and let you be free. So I'm glad you two got married and had kids. I'm glad you two didn't die. So good job." she says I smile and look at him. He wakes up a couple of minutes later and says," What happened." "You fell asleep it's ok," I say I play with his hair and he holds onto me. We get up and leave the room. I go and check up on my patient. "Dr. Grey hi how are you," Brooks says "Brooks you are gonna make an exceptional surgeon so how would you feel if I kept you on my service until further notice," I say "I would love that dr. Grey, I'm gonna go round on your patients." She says and leaves I go into the cafeteria to see Cristina and Alex eating. "Hey Mer over here." Cristina yells "Hey, you guys. Find your mysterious man yet." I asks Cristina "Nope, not yet." She replies "Maybe you turned him to stone," Alex says while eating his carrots April, Maggie, Lexie, and Jo all sit down with us. "How's Harriet," I ask "She good," April says "Ugh, I hate this," Lexie says "What's wrong Expedia," Alex asks "Mark is looking for places to live and I already told him that I found a place. But he is insistent on living in L.A." she says "You can't leave," I say "I don't want to Mer," Lexie says "Ok good. I gotta go my patient's coding." I say I run into the room and ask," What happened." "She started coughing blood so I did an ultrasound and she's bleeding internally," Brooks says "Ok get her to the OR and scrub in. Someone page Bailey." I say "The patient is prepped," Brooks says She scrubs in and Bailey comes in. "Hey what do we have." She asks "I did a splenectomy and she pulled through but I suspect that she has a clot somewhere in her abdomen," I say "Alright let's go." She says "Dr. Grey dr Shepard's calling." The nurse says "Can you hand me the phone," I ask "Derek what's going on," I ask "Bailey has a fever and Zola doesn't feel good either so I'm gonna take them home." He says "Ok, I'll be there soon," I say We finish the surgery successfully and I pack my things up. I approach Brooks and say"ok make sure that she pulls through the night I'm gonna go home." "Thank you dr. Grey for teaching me." She says I leave and get home. I see Derek asleep on the couch with things all over the living room. "Hey what happened," I say "Ugh, children happened." He says We clean up and go to bed. "Ugh, I'm so tired." He says I lie on my back staring at the ceiling. "Hey what's wrong." He asks "Nothing I say." "Hey, you were there for me today, no I cans be there for you." He says "I think your right I don't think I can go through another loss of a baby," I say "If you not ready that's fine let's just go to bed." He says We fall asleep.
