Sam's P.O.V:

Liam Smith was standing in my kitchen. I didn't see his face properly at the club but, I recognized him by his built and height. He stood there, like a deer caught in headlights, looking at me. I am nervous from the inside but, I can't show it. Let's hope I handle this situation well.

Now that I can see him properly, I can say the news about him was true. He's handsome, fit and tall, nearly 6 feet I guess. He's wearing black pants and a t-shirt with a jacket. The t-shirt was hugging his muscular body and his abs are prominent. I could pay him a large sum to be a model for our company.

Unconsciously, we were coming close to each other like magnets, looking at each other, not a word spoken by any of us. I looked at his face as he, at mine. He has caramel brown hair which looked untamed and has a light skin color. His defined jawline, pointed nose, perfect lips are attractive, but my breath got hitched looking into his blue eyes. I got lost in them. They held sadness and looked dull, lifeless. The emotion in his eyes made me sad. I wish to see those dull eyes shine. I know his life story to some extent; he's been going through some stuff.

We were standing close in the middle of the kitchen, looking into each other's eyes. The air around us got thick. He cleared his throat, getting away from me. "Sorry for scaring you, Ms.Singh. I didn't mean to do that. I should've let you know my presence but, you looked kind of busy so I decided not to disturb you." His voice was a bit deep and sexy, might I add. What am I thinking?

"You already disturbed me the moment you came here." I paused to gauge his reaction. "Well, you took your sweet time to visit me, Mr.Smith." I said smirking at him.

"What! How..?" He looked at me, aghast and confused.

"I saw you watching me at Lux on friday, Mr.Smith." I paused briefly. "I thought you would approach me but, you didn't. So, I was expecting your visit since then." He looked tongue-tied.

"How did you know it was me?" he asked.

"I saw you with Mr.Parker." That must answer his question but, it didn't for him since he asked the next question.

"And you guessed it was me?" he looked doubtful.

I shrugged. "Considering our situations, it was easy to figure out."

"Your sister said something weird. Something about you waiting for me." He said.

"I kind of was, considering I knew you would be visiting me. Did you think my PA would give my address to anyone easily?" I asked. "She called this morning for my consent." I said crossing my arms and leaning back on the counter.

"I must say, you caught me off guard, Ms.Singh." he said. "Well, if you know who I am then you must also know why I'm here."

"Trust me when I say, I know a lot about you, Mr.Smith." I said smirking.

"Looks like someone's been stalking me." he said smirking. He looked playful.

I scoffed. "I'd rather call it keeping myself updated. It's not hard when you keep yourself in news every now and then." His demeanor changed after my words. The playfulness in his eyes is gone, replaced with something else. Fuck.

"I don't do it intentionally." He said firmly. He looked sad. I was the reason behind it and I did not like it.

Shit! I should have kept my mouth shut. Wait! When did I start to care about others?

"I know." I said truthfully.

"Well, if you are free..." he started but, I cut him off.

"Let me stop you right there, Mr.Smith. I already made myself clear about this when I said the deal's off. There's no point in doing this." I said standing straight, getting serious.
