Francois DuPont looks like a pretty decent school. It was no Vadim Bastille, but many people probably think that way when they have to move and go to a new school. Lucien slicked his undercut-styled brown hair back and made his way up the stairs, getting some admiring looks from a few girls as he did. That was to be expected since he was quite a good-looking guy, tall, chiseled jaw, kind brown eyes. His muscular body was shown off by a short-sleeve blue shirt with ripped jeans, black and white sneakers, and a black backpack with one strap slung over his shoulder. Also, he was quite well-known. Back at Vadim, he was captain of the fútbol team and always brought his team to victory, so it made him a bit of a local celebrity. He sent them polite nods, making them giggle in response, but he didn't really care for any of them, not when he's lost someone who was perfect in every way.
Sighing as he walked through the courtyard, Lucien reached into his pocket and pulled out a red choker necklace made out of leather with only one loop for the buckle, like it was a custom size for someone. Hanging on it by a small chain was a silver heart with the inscription, 'Emerald.' He wrapped the choker around his wrist like a bracelet and fastened it, smiling as he thought about his past love. In their eight months of dating, Lucien has shown him nothing but devotion, loyalty, all of it, but his Emerald was corrupted by his so-called 'friends' into breaking up with him. Then to add insult to injury, he transferred to God-knows-where, leaving Lucien heartbroken and yearning for the day they can reunite and get back together again. He still remembers his Emerald's face. Beautiful pink lips, his messy yet cute hair, and his stunning green eyes which got him the nickname.
Lucien will find him someday if it's the last thing he does.
He pulled out his phone and read the school board sent to him. He needs to head to the office and meet M. Damocles, the principal of the school and get his schedule. Then after, he'll head to wherever his homeroom class is, follow his schedule, and so on until the end of the year. Simple. He made his way up the stairs, accidentally bumping into a purple-haired teacher and causing her to drop a few papers as he looked around the school, wondering why it had an open ceiling. What if it rains?
Lucien helped her pick up the papers."Sorry about that, ma'am."
"It's quite alright," she said, a bit sternly while picking up the scattered papers. "Just be careful next time. I take it you're new."
"Yes," he nodded. "I just transferred from Vadim. I'm Lucien Rebois."
She quirked an eyebrow. "Rebois. Well, I hear you're quite the celebrity at your old school. I'm Mme. Mendelive, the science teacher. I believe my class is on your schedule."
"Wow, great first impressions," he said sarcastically, handing the small stack of papers to her. He was about to say more, but then his eyes trailed to a name written in the top right corner of what looked like a test in beautiful and familiar cursive. Anciel. The first name was cut off. 'Can it be? Is he here?'
"I'll say," Mme. Mendelive snarked, a slight hint of playfulness in her voice. "Well, I'll see you later mister Rebois. Have a nice first day." She made her way down the stairs while Lucien stared after her.
"Thanks..." He continued his way up the stairs, thinking about what he just saw. There's no way. From what he heard at Vadim, his Emerald left the country... But they had to be rumors, rumors started by the students his Emerald actually thought to be his friends so Lucien would never find him! They poisoned his mind to keep them separated, he was sure of it. They've always hated and despised him, Mehdi, Syd, and that Madelyn girl. Talking to his Emerald when his back was turned, whispering falsehoods, it was agony! His sweet Emerald would flinch whenever he tried to hold him and it would bring a tear to his eye to see his love so afraid of him.
