"Felix, this is Kim Seungmin, my partner," Hyunjin said as he walked back into the kitchen, this time with a tired looking Seungmin in tow. "Seungmin, this is Felix Lee. The closet kid I was talking about."

As Hyunjin pulled out his own chair, his eyes locked on Felix.

Felix was stiff. and his eyes were as wide as they were the day he was caught in his closet. His lips were parted in a way that portrayed nothing but shock. But his eyes were glassy with fear. His parted lips eventually closed, and he swallowed. Hard enough that his already prominent Adam's apple bobbed heavily.

His eyes then traveled to Seungmin, whose eyes were wide, as well. But the rest of his expression remained the way it was when he walked into the room.

Seconds later, Kkami (who was once contently taking a nap on Hyunjin's pillow) walked into the room. And, almost immediately, his hackles rose and his teeth were bared while tiny, grainy snarls left his throat, followed by a series of barks and growls.

"I-" Felix's voice cracked, and he cleared his throat. "Hi."

His eyebrows twitched when Hyunjin caught sight of his fingers drumming the top of the table. The ring that once decorated his middle finger was gone, Hyunjin noticed- not that it mattered, though.

Because that isn't what Felix needed him to analyze. He knew that.

"Well, you've got to start some day," Seungmin's words were taunting.

After a few beats of reluctance, Felix began to explain things. However, he kept pausing, and glancing up to his left. He's lying, Hyunjin noted. He knew that he was, even if he wasn't lying the whole time. But he didn't cut in to stop him.

He went on to explain how he had made a deal with someone, how he carried it out but didn't expect to get caught up in it the way he did. He did it for money- as most would -but he made sure it wasn't something illegal.

"Yeah," Felix said, "I had to clean their apartment complex. So disgusting."

But, of course- there was the pendant. He had somehow gotten his hands on it while cleaning the apartment. Apparently that was the turning point.

Felix's story went on for a few minutes afterwards, explaining only briefly how he had taken off with a stray dog and then huddled himself into Hyunjin's closet before he finally shut his mouth, Seungmin only nodding.

After being hounded with questions- some completely unrelated to his story (which Felix strategically dodged) -Felix said that there wasn't anything else he needed to say. That this wasn't an interrogation, but it was beginning to feel like one.

Just afterwards, Seungmin left, glaring out of the corner of his eyes but not even saying a word as Hyunjin closed the door after him.

"I don't like him," Felix deadpanned, walking out of the room he had earlier disappeared into with Kkami in his hands.

"You were also lying."

With an almost taunting glare, Felix arched an eyebrow and looked at him. "I did it on purpose. All of it was true, I just don't trust him. I have my own reasons."

Hyunjin tilted his head to the side, taking a step forward challengingly. "And what might those reasons be, Felix? He's just another agent."

"I don't need to explain that to you, Samuel. Not when I already said I didn't trust the rest of your agency. If you want me to tell you all the details, I'll tell you. But I'm not talking to someone I don't trust. And he can't know I was telling the truth."
