The Opposite of what she Thought + erased (Karl Jacobs x oc, sapnap x oc)

Ch:13•5 am runaway•

"Thank you so much rejjie, I owe you one!" Rue says holding up her phone to her ear.

"No problem! I hope it goes well, thank you for giving this chance too!"

"Yeah yeah no problem! I'll text you okay!"

"Okay! Bye rue!"

And then the call ended. They had been on a call together for the past 6 hours making new songs for the ep. rue had a last minute change..to replace half of the songs on there to new ones..she only had 10 hours to do so which made it insanely difficult.

Rue looks at the clock, it reading 5:08 am. She throws her head back, letting it hit her chair.

She looks back at her computer screen and pulls up discord. Her mouse hovering over the phone icon on his profile. She clicks it.

The familiar ringing goes off as she patiently waits for an answer.

"Hello?" A faint tired voice goes through.

"Did I wake you?" She asks

"Oh Uhm not really, just really tired." He says.

"I'm sorry I'll let you sleep Karl." Rue says moving her mouse over to the leave call button.

"Wait no rue-"

She leaves the call. "I'm an idiot."

They get up from her chair and plop down on their bed.

Before she could completely sleep, her phone goes off, someone was FaceTiming her.

It was Karl.

She felt bad for picking up but for some reason she just couldn't ignore it.

"Hi." Is all she says.

"Hi." Karl says In return, with a smile.

"I'm sorry if I scared you."

"No no you didn't, i just didn't want you to be left alone."

"Why?"

"Hmmmm i don't know. It just felt right to talk to you. Why are you awake?"

"I was working on some music last minute with my friend rejjie."

"Oh cool! That's coming out today right?"

"Yeah. I'm scared."

"Don't be, I bet it'll be amazing."

"Thank you Karl."

The next 5 minutes were just silence with a few muffles.

Then at one moment, rue caught Karl staring at her.

"What, like what you see?" She asked.

"Yeah. Yeah I do." Karl responds.

This left rue speechless. "You never end with these bits do you?" She says while laughing. She moves around, changing her position towards the camera.

"It's not a bit." He says, with a serious tone.

Rue looks at him with slight confusion. "Oh." Is all she could say.

"Karl?"

"Yeah?"

"What if I just drive to North Carolina right now?"

"Wait what?"

"I'm gonna do it. I'll call you when I'm on the road." She says, ending the call afterwards.

She gets up from her bed and grabs her bookbag. Taking as much clothes as she can fit to take, also ignoring all 6 calls that Karl did.

She grabs her laptop and the rest of her necessities. Slowly going to the kitchen to write a note to the boys.

"I ran away at 5 in the morning to go see your husband Nick, I'll be back when I say. I love you and I'll be safe<3 -rue" is what it said. She left the note on the marble table. Quickly turning around only to see dream in front of her.

"What the hell are you doing?" He says while rubbing his left eye.

"Uhhh..going to see my favorite person?" She replies.

"He's right across from you?" Dream says.

"Oh, North Carolina is across from me?" Rue asks.

"Ohhh. Okay go ahead then, take the keys on the living room table. Be safe! Take your masks and get tested while over there too." He says. He acted more like a strict brother than her actual brother.

"Will do. I'll be back soon."

"Bye! Have fun!" He shouts quietly.

"Bye!" Rue whisper shouts to him as she closes the door.

Opening the car door and putting all her stuff in the seat next to her.

"Am I really doing this?" She asks herself.

Speak of the devil, her phone started ringing again. The screen reading "Karl:)".

This time she decides to answer, not wanting him to freak out again.

"FINALLY YOU ANSWER DO YOU KNOW HOW TERRIFIED I WAS..AM?!"

"Sorry! I'm about to leave the house so I won't be able to talk for awhile, unless you want to stay on FaceTime with me?"

"YOU'RE ACTUALLY COMING?"

"Duh. I want to see you. I can't handle more of this." She says, pretending that her heart was broken.

"Well then, I guess you're coming then. Do you have a hotel or something? If not You can stay at my place." Karl asks.

"Yeah I think that'll be better. I'll be there later tonight! Go to sleep in the mean time please Karl."

"Fine. I'll see you later today. Be safe ruby." He says.

"Will do, bye Jacobs." She says while smiling.

"Bye ruby." Karl also says, doing the same as rue.

And just like that, rue was on their way to see the person they dedicated all her new songs too.

She was ready.

Definitely ready.
