"Dream?"

"What did you just say?" Ranboo asked the hooded figure. Yes, he heard what Dream had said before, but he wanted to hear it again.

Meanwhile, the masked man had no idea what to say. If he told the truth, he'd be labeled as a murderer. If he lied, he'd most likely be called out on it. For the first time in a while, he wasn't in control of the situation. He had no idea just how intimidating the hybrid looming above him could be in his eight-foot-five glory. If looks could kill, Dream would be screwed seven ways from Sunday.

Not satisfied with the lack of an answer, Ranboo tried asking a different question. "Were you the one who blew everything up?" Still, Dream didn't utter a peep. This frustrated the half-Enderman to no end, and he involuntarily let out a growl, causing the quivering man below him to flinch.

Realizing that this was going nowhere, Ranboo turned around to go help his grieving friend. "Fine. I'll deal with you later," he warned.

As much as Ranboo wanted to punch Dream in the face, he knew now wasn't the time for that. Tubbo needed a shoulder to cry on, so that's what the hybrid would be.

As he walked back, he wondered how he would deal with the situation at hand. Ranboo knew he would have to be as gentle and compassionate as possible. Don't get me wrong, it's not difficult for him, but that didn't make the boy less nervous. After all, his close friend was in a time of need.

"Hey, Tubbo?" A reddened, tear-stained face looked up at the half-Enderman with an expression that broke his heart. He kneeled down and gently placed a hand on the young Satyr's back.

"Come on Tubbo, let's go back home." "B-but what about Tommy's things?" "Would you feel better if we picked them up?" "Mm-hmm." "How about we have a memorial for Tommy within the week?" "I'd like that." "Well, we better get started." "O-okay."

Both of them picked up everything within the pile before them that they could carry. During this time, they agreed that these items, along with other things that had sentimental value for their fallen friend, would be placed within a chest, and that said chest would be buried.

By the time the two of them were done, the sun had begun to rise. Both teens were exhausted and agreed that they needed rest.

(401 words. I was expecting this one to be shorter in all honesty. 😂 See you whenever I post the next chapter.)
