Chapter 4

(With Tommy)

The cold air of the tundra was biting at Tommy's skin, and the wind did not help at all. The blonde had a feeling he was going in the right direction, so he pressed on. Soon enough, he saw a light in the distance. "That has to be it," he thought. As he followed the light, he saw a cabin come into view. "Jackpot."

While walking to the shack, Tommy had realized something. Where would he stay? He knew he had to hide. Did Techno have a basement? If that wasn't the case, then Tommy could make a basement. It would probably be better if there wasn't already one, that way, nobody would even try to look for him.

As he walked up the first stair, he made sure to kick the snow off of his shoes-well, shoe. Again, the last thing he wanted was to get caught. As the boy walked inside, he got to work. After picking a corner where he would put his ladder, he dug down. He had already chopped down a couple of trees on his way so he would have basic tools. Of course, he replaced those trees with saplings with the hope that they would grow before anyone noticed.

While mining, Tommy kept coming back up to the first floor to make sure he didn't accidentally dig past the base of Techno's house. Once he was done, he made a few chests, a furnace, and a bed, and placed his leftover items in one of the chests. He had also made some torches and placed them around the room. Finally, he replaced the block he had taken from the shack's floor.

Suddenly, he heard heavy footsteps above his head. "Techno must be home." The teen knew he had to stay quiet. Only a few minutes passed when suddenly, there was a knocking sound. Though it was muffled, Techno could be heard saying "What do you want, Dream?"

Dream was here? How? Why? Tommy couldn't go back now. He just started feeling safe again. Keeping his hand over his mouth to muffle the sound of his breathing, the blonde tried listening to the conversation. What he heard almost made him feel bad for his brother.
