Reborn Into a New Me

Chapter 1

Drip drop drip drop..

Rain pouring down as I was running outside to reach home fast..

Just one cold rainy day to begin with..

I weakly arrived home from school, change my clothes to dry ones, and went up into my room then flopped on top of my bed.

"Man, another tiring day from school.. but at the same time a boring one too." I said with a smug face.

When will I ever do something exciting in my life?

I sighed as I slowly got up and stretch my arms a bit then went downstairs only to see a note from mom, saying that she went out to get some groceries. Oh well, I should eat the meal she left for me before it gets cold. Oof, that's mom alright, better eat it then, since dad's gonna be home late as well from work.

I look outside while eating thinking that it has been raining a lot lately, it doesn't bother me though. I prefer rainy days than sunny days anyways. I kept on looking outside of our window as the rain keeps on pouring down. Hopefully the rain will slow down so that mom and dad can arrive here safely.

~*AFTER EATING*~

"Wahhh! Finally done, I'm stuffed. Mom really does make the best meals." I said with a small smile. I got up carrying the dishes to wash it at the sink.

This is my life, a normal and simple one. Although you may think that I'm the same at home and at school? Think again, they call me the cold, distant and emotionless genius. Why genius? Umm probably because of the fact that I'm a fast learner in everything I do but that's only that.

I sighed. I can't even express my true emotions well which can be a headache sometimes but I guess it's better that way. Just don't mess with me or I might do something that they would make them regret ever knowing me.

As I've finished washing the dishes, I went inside my room only to find myself reading a book for tomorrow's class. This is really sad, another test that will come after another.

~*AFTER AWHILE*~

"We're home honey!" I suddenly heard mom calling me downstairs so I placed my book on my desk and went down just to see mom and dad soaking wet with their clothes on.

"Oh my, mom, dad don't tell me that you've forgot to bring your own umbrellas?" I ask as I face palm at them. Can't blame them though since they're busy moving around from different places at different time.

"We kinda forgot about it again, sorry sweetheart" Dad said as he remove his wet coat and placed it on the basket in our bathroom. I just sighed and nod at them then went to the kitchen to get some meals for them to eat. I lay down the dishes and see them coming towards me.

"How was school honey?" asked by my mom. Well, that was to be expected. I look at her and just smile while I also look at that and nod my head to them. "It was ok mom, dad." I answered back.

Soon after dinner, I helped mom wash the dishes while dad is cleaning up the table and went to the bathroom to take a quick bath. While washing the dishes mom said "Honey, there is something that I want to tell you." I look at her and answered back "Yes I know, you won't be able to take a small break trip with me because of work." Mom just gave a sad smile and nod.

"I'm glad you understand that honey" Mom said as she went to the bathroom after dad came out fully change into new clothes already.

I can't blame mom and dad though, I understand them that they need to work for us to have a stable life. This happens all the time anyway, I just hope that I have some time to go out and have a small trip.

After doing all the dishes, I went back up to my room and change into my nightgown. I sit up on the bed while reading the book. Not realizing that I slowly drifted off to sleep while holding my book.

~*THE NEXT MORNING*~

*Ringg Ringgg Ringg*

"Mmm, Stupid alarm clock!" I complained as I turned it off. I slowly got up and rub my eyes. Mornings are really my worst of times during school days. Oh! I almost forgot! My name's Miria Hansen, just a normal student with a normal family.

"Honey! Rise and shine! You're breakfast's is ready!" My mother shouted from downstairs. Oh well, can't ignore the fact that I love food*^*

I got up, stretch my arms and proceed into doing my daily routine. Take a shower, dry myself, change into my uniform, and finally fixing myself up before going down.

Same daily things I guess, I hope those jerks won't bother me again at school. Also, hopefully she'll not blame her sister for making friends with me.

I sighed, another great day in school (note: sarcasm) All set! I went downstairs to eat breakfast before going to that place.

"Morning mom, morning dad." I greeted them both as I start to eat. Mmm~ never miss out the delicious food.

~*AFTER BREAKFAST*~

After I've finished eating my meal, I put on my school shoes and gave my mom and dad goodbye kisses then walks out of the door.

While walking towards school, I saw an old bell on the sidewalk of the road.

"Oh? What's this?" I said as I slowly come close to an object. It looks like one of those jingle bells tho. Curious as I am, I walked towards it and pick it up.

Mmm, this looks so old yet so delicate. Who could have drop this?

As I said that, I suddenly hear a small distinctive jingle out of the blue. I look around only to find nothing but people walking around.

Must be my imagination..

I shrugged and put the bell inside my pocket covering it with my handkerchief and continue walking onwards to school.
