"Chou," Zhang kneeled in front of him.

Xuan held his wound. "Get me medical supplies."

"In my bag," Gyu offered.

Zhnag grabbed the medical supplies and carefully worked on Chou.
Xuan stroked Chous face with her thumb, waiting for Zhang to finish.

"It's been a while since I've been shot. It makes me feel bad for you all over again." Chou laughed weakly.

Xuan leaned against the seat. "Hey Zhay. When your done. . . I think I've lost a bit to much blood."

Zhang studied Xuan. The blood from her father hitting her now drying on her face but there was a new cut on her uper side on her ribs. It was deep and her entire side was soaked in blood.

"Damn it you two!" Zhang yelled. He finsihed bandaging Chou and started working on Xuan. "Hey. X. Wake up. I don't like your weak pulse."

"It's like her bodys defense mechanism. Her pulse slows when she's hurt and alone. Hold her." Gyu suggested.

Zhang pulled Xuan into him and laughed. "I don't know. Last time I did this it was for money." He joked.

"I think I want a break," Xuan whispered.

Zhang smiled and kissed her head. "You deserve one."

She leaned her head on his chest.

They road in silence as Gyu drove. Finaly they reached the hideout and Zhang grabbed Xuan. He stopped before he got far and went back to Chou. "Alright," Zhang sighed, lifting both of them into seperate arms and carrying them in.

"You get Xuan, I'll get. . . This kid." Gyu said.

Zhang set Chou in the sofa and brought Xuan to a room. He gently pulled Xuans shirt off and treated her wounds.

"Zhay," Xuan said.

"I'm here." He patted her side.

Xuan opened her eyes and smiled slightly. "You're scared of him."

"I know what he's capable of."  He covered her with the blanket amd sat next to her.

"Did he hurt you?" Xuan asked.

Zhang looked at Xuan. He studied her tired face. "Since when do you care?"

Xuan sat up and faced Zhang with her legs crossed. "You know you can be nice when you try."

"Why did you help me?" Zhang asked, avoiding her eyes.

Xuan laughed at the nervous boy. She pulled the blankets above her chest and shrugged. "I hate seeing people get abused just as much as you do."

"But I can take it-

"So can I. I've lived with it for 6 fucking years." Xuan bit.

Zhang pulled her into a hug. "So I've heard. Your pretty hard to kill."

"Zhay I'm really tired. Let me go."

Zhang kissed her neck and looked at her. "So. You and Chou?"

"We went on a mission. He was shot so I brought him back and stayed with him until he was better. Then he tried to kiss me, so I beat him up." She smiled at the memory.

"So can I?" He asked teasingly.

"You can do whatever you want as long as I get to beat you up when you're done." Xuan warned

There was a knock on the door and Xuan played dead. Gyu walked in. "He's fine. How is she?"

"Looks great," Zhang nervously answered.

Gyu studied him. "You. . . Her wounds?"

Zhnag looked up in confusion. "Yeah. What else would I. . . Yes. Both." He nodded

Gyu laughed. "I can see that. You two seem to have made amends?"

Zhang shrugged. "I don't think she'd forgive me that quickly. I let the person who abuses her, convince me to get her money. And then he tried to make us get married, which was totally part of the plan, but he really wanted us to get married. No just kill her or anything just. . ." Zhang blinked a few times, remembering Xuan was awake. "No. I don't think so."

"You're being stupid. I'm going to tend to the boy again." Gyu shook her head and left.

Xuan sat up and looked at Zhang. "You had plans to marry me? Yoh planned this. Did you plan all of this?"

"X. Baby. Relax. I didn't plan anything. Mr. Kim did. I just. . .defied him." Zhnag defended.

There was a loud pound on the window, making both of them jump. Xuan panicked pushing Zhang flat on the bed and covering him with her body.

"X. Relax. It was a bird. Just a bird." Zhang hugged her.

Xuan relaxed and let herself fall onto Zhang. "I'm sorry. I'm realy tired and I just. . ." She stopped before she started crying.

Zhang held her tightly. He kissed her neck a few times before laying her on her back. "Good night, X."

Xuan tensed as Zhangs hand slowly brushed down her side to her stomach. When Zhang pulled her into his grasp with her head resting on his shoulder she relaxed and let herself fall asleep.

Zhang fell asleep, holding Xuan tightly.

He woke up. Xuan was still tight against him and her arms around him. "Good morning." Xuan whispered, making Zhang jump a little.

Zhang pulled the covers tight around them. "Fuck. Why's it so cold?"

"Because someone brought us to a house in the middle of fucking no where that has no heat," Xuan calmly explained.

Zhang let her go and stretched, letting the blankets he had just pulled over him fall. "Did you try looking at it?"

"Yes. The bill doesn't even have any electricity. There's a fire. Gyu got it started." Xuan said.

"You haven't even moved. Have you?" Zhnag asked.

Xuan rolled onto her stomach, pulling her arms away from him. "I had to use the bathroom."

"You shouldn't be walking around by yourself," Zhang hissed.

Xuan stood up, scared by his tone. "Don't yell," she quietly said.

Zhang got up. "Get back here."

"Stop yelling!" Xuan crouched to the floor, covering her ears.

Zhang kneeled next to her, realizing his mistake. "Xuan. I'm not going to hurt you." He rubbed her back, gently pulling her to her feet.

"You don't have to yell. I get the point," she said.

Zhang helped her to the bed. He studied the room. Xuans bloody shirt was still on the floor along with wrappers to other medical supplies. Most of it was bloody towels. He looked at Xuan and studied her stomach. "Does it still hurt?"

"No. I'm used to it." Xuan pushed him but he forced her to lay down instead. "Zhang-

Zhang layed next to her kissing her gently.
