Xuan Han lunged her knife into a mans back, slicing him open. She looked around frantically. She had come in with some man. Mr. Kim's favorite. If he died she would. . . She would probably be fine. Tortured. As the leaders daughter Xuan is hard to kill. Nearly impossible.
"Fuck," the familiar voice rang.
Xuan closed her eyes, navigating where the boy was. Once she estimated his location she ran passed the dead bodies up the stairs. "Zhang Yuo," Xuan called in hopes to find him.
There were 2 loud shots making Xuan freeze in fear that she failed her father. All she had to do was keep the boy alive. Yet she failed. She wasn't scared of the consequences, mpre upset. Failing was rare for her. She didn't live the normal life that people could fail easily on.
Xuan was tackled to the ground and rolled on her back. "Ah," she winced as a knife penetrated her stomach. "F-fuck," she pulled the mans hands back. Taking the knife out and shoving it into the man. It hurt, but it wouldn't kill.
"Xuan? Let's go. He's dead," Zhang grabbed Xuans hand and dragged her down the stairs.
Xuan followed painfully. "Slow down. I'm hurt."
"You're hurt?" Zhang asked, spinning around.
Xuan laughed a bit out of anger. "Relax. It's nothing serious. I can take care of myself."
They ran to the car and with a screech of the wheels Zhang drove towards base. "How bad is it? Mr. Kim told me to protect you because you don't stop when your hurt. He's going to kill me-
Xuan slapped him across the face.
"Ah. What the-
"He told me to not let anything happen to you and you come back to me, after leaving me without asking, with a gun shot on your shoulder. You don't think I'll get punished? He may see me as weak but I've been through enough. I'm hard to fucking kill. Don't ever scold me, don't ever doubt me, and don't ever pretend that you care," she yelled. She brought her hand to her stomach in pain. "Hurry up. I can't. . . breath."
Zhang looked at Xuan Shocked since no one's ever scolded him like that before. He slammed the breaks sending both of them forwards. Xuan barely caught herslef before she hit the dashboard. "I don't care who you think you are," Zhang hissed. "In fact I don't care if you fucking die. Mr. Kim will forgive me because I'm better than you. No one cares about a snotty girl like you who thinks they can get whatever they want. From what I see your worthless. Mr. Kim doesn't even give you a room. He doesn't like you. No one does and no one will."
Xuan began getting weak, her breathing shallowing. "I'm his daughter," she quietly defended.
Zhang jumped at her words, realizing his mistake. "You're barely breathing."
"Just drive."
"I'm so. . . Dead when you wake up." Zhang scoffed, quickly hitting the gas.
They drove to base in silence, Xuan slowly losing her breath. She's been shot 12 times before, each on different occasions. She's only been stabbed 3 times because with her fighting skills not many people can get to her. But she's hard to kill. Almost impossible. Through car accidents, fires, and major wounds, she's survived. This isn't one of things that she would expect to kill her.
Zhang parked in front of the base, quickly grabbing Xuan and running to the med room. "Doctor!" He yelled. "Doctor!" He repeated.
"Coming coming. Yes sir what. . . Xuan," she gasped.
Zhang gently set Xuan on the bed and the doctor started working without hesitation. Zhang sat impatiently, praying she would be alright but knowing in her condition she might not make it.
Long, tedious hours passed. Zhang watched impatiently as the doctor worked until more people came in and they eventually rushed into the surgery room.
"Sir?" The doctor finaly called.
Zhang jumped up. "Yes?"
The doctor threw her bloody scrubs in the trash and washed her hands before walking to Zhang and holding her hand out to shake his. "Dr. Gyu." She introduced when he shook her hand. Dr. Gyu didn't hesitate to explain Xuans condition. "Xuan suffered minor injuries. Like every other time she's been hurt she'll be fine. It took 7 stiches inside and out and she'll be better in two weeks. She'll probably wake up soon too." She smiled.
Zhang fell into his chair in relief. "Gosh. I thought I was dead. I thought she was dead. Alright I'm going. If something happens to her, call me," Zhang winked and handed the doctor his phone number before proudly walking out.
The doctor sat confused. "I thought you were related or something. Not even her boyfriend?" She asked before he could get far.
Zhang froze. He slowly turned around and laughed. "Zhang Yuo. Nice to meet you." He shook the doctors hand again before continuing to walk to his room.
The doctor walked back to Xuan and held her hand. "Xuan. Are you awake?"
"Yes," she answered without even opening her eyes.
"How many times have you been in here?" Dr. Gyu asked.
Xuan still didn't move but thought of the answers. She knew it was above 20. To many to count though. "I know Mia. I know."
"Do you? Each time you come in here you're getting closer to. . ." Dr. Gyu paused.
Xuan sat up, still a bit sore. "Mia Gyu. I can take care of myself." She scoffed. "Not like that stupid boy could take care of me."
"Who was that boy? He was. . . Snotty."
"Zhang Yuo. My fathers favorite. I don't know what's so special about him. He's so selfish. When I started to struggle breathing he was just yelling at me. I hate him," Xuan answered.
The door slammed open and Zhang ran in. "Work on this. I was here the whole time," he panicked, quickly taking his shirt off and sitting in the chair next to Xuan. He grabbed a few disinfectants from the table and handed them to Gyu before taking Xuans hand and holding it in his lap. "Play dead."
Xuan had no problems with this. She does it whenever her father is around, but now he isn't. "Why?"
"Because he's coming," Zhang quietly yelled.
Xuan closed her eyes and her body went limp as if she had actually died.
